USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

It’s tricky because there are multiple steps and if you don’t complete them perfectly, at the exact time and in the correct order then you’re screwed.

Just remember once you start down this path there is no return and you’ve committed to a lifetime of ritual.

There is always a price.
I love a good ritual.

Oregon in either division would be 2nd or 3rd more often than not.
LOL.

4th or 5th. Occasionally you might come in 2nd or 3rd.

You lose an average of 3 or 4 games per year in the PAC. The PAC. Now come and play UGA, Bama, UF, LSU, OU, ATM, TX, AU, even UTjr, Arky, Kentucky, Ole Miss. Actually, you would be right in the middle with teams like UTjr, Arky, Kentucky, and Ole Miss. That's the perfect fit for you.

on average like 2 under cristobal. over the last 10 years 2-3
and who were they to? minus the
2012 12-2 stanford
2013 11-3 stanford, 8-5 Arizona
2014 10-4 Arizona,
2015 10-3 Utah, 9-4 WSU
2016 4 teams 10 or more wins, only 2 to teams under .500
2017 UW, Stan, WSU all over 9 wins. AZ st and UCLA average teams 7-6, 6-7
2018 11-2 WSU, 9-4 stanford, 9-5 Utah 5-7 Arizona
2019 8-5 Arizona State
2020 2-5 and 1-3 oregon state and cal
2021 3-9 stanford, 10-4 Utah x2

these were not losses in the middle they were ranked teams finishing 10 plus wins, Pac 12 champs and or division champs.

your argument goes back to the prior discussion about SEC fans claiming they play all those teams year in and year out. put em in the east and Oregon beats Missouri, Vandy, Tenn, South Carolina, Kentucky more often than not. can they beat UGA and Florida sure will they do it on a regular probably not.
in the west same thing. Miss State, Arky, A&M, Ole Miss more often than not. could they beat LSU, or Auburn I think so. Alabama probably not. maybe after Saban leaves.
OU and TX? Oregon is 2 for 2 against TX since 2000. prior to that they had not played since Richard Nixon was President. Oklahoma more trouble with that one.
Oregon has had 2 tries at Auburn in recent history with a differential of 9 points. one of which was for the NC decided on a game ending fg where Oregon held Auburn to their second lowest points of the season.
Again though whats a schedule really gonna look like. @Ole Miss, Tenn, South Carolina, @vandy, @ Florida, Georgia, Missouri @Alabama, Kentucky? thats 7-2 or 6-3 plus 3 non conference wins scheduled like the SEC. San Jose State, Portland State and Oregon state for a non conference rivalry. so Oregon finishes 10-2 or 9-3 so 2nd or 3rd in a division like other 10 or 9 win teams.

but at the same time in all this hypothetical scenario you forget that Oregon would then be in the SEC and getting SEC type recruits. so therefore things would be different by your own prior statements about the talent.

That's a lot of words that don't acknowledge that the SEC >>>>>>>>>>>>> PAC. If you are losing to those PAC teams, imagine what you would do to teams with way better talent, year in and year out.

You think "@Ole Miss, Tenn, South Carolina, @vandy, @ Florida, Georgia, Missouri @Alabama, Kentucky? thats 7-2 or 6-3" is 7-2? You have 2 guaranteed losses to Bama and UGA. You'd lose at least 2 of OM, UF, UTjr, and Kentucky. I'll give you Vandy and Missouri, although Missouri and USCjr could be like the ASU, WashState, Arizona teams you like losing to. More like 5-4 in most years.

You wouldn't get SEC recruits ... they don't want to go all the way across the fucking USA.

in your opinion, which you are entitled to.
i dont see it that way.
in your opinion did you have Oregon beating Ohio State last year?
did you think Oregon was gonna beat FSU in the playoffs in 14 with FSU coming off like nearly 2 years undefeated and prior years NC?

SEC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pac?
last time Oregon as the Pac champion played Auburn the SEC Champion it was a 3 point game as the clock ticked to 0.

wouldnt get SEC recruits? Oregon already has 2 commits from TX. one had offers from 9 SEC schools (and OK and TX) including Alabama
the other
1 from Miss who predictors had at 100% ole miss for 23
over the past few years oregon has multiple Texas kids as well as from Tenn, miss, NC (no SEC schools but in their back yard), Missouri, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Oklahoma
top recruit in 23 had offers from 10 SEC schools
top in 22 from 5 SEC schools
top in 21 from 8 SEC schools.

Sometimes you don't seem to think things through and connect all the dots. Do I think you wouldn't get some kids that come across the country? Of course not. You would get a few lower ranked 4* from time to time. Maybe even a really good player because of NIL. Do I think that you can get them in a volume that would make a difference? No, clearly you wouldn't be able to do that.

As for pointing out a game here or there, no one is talking about random OOC games or bowl games. We are talking about playing a full SEC schedule for a full season. You can't even handle that with a PAC schedule that you have to admit is far inferior to what you would play in the SEC. If you disagree with that - check recruiting rankings, check NFL drafts, check natties, etc. - then we can stop wasting each other's time.

1 time 1 off season for just that 1 year? depends on the year.

You think Oregon is going to get kids from the south, just because you are in the SEC? Is Oregon moving their entire campus to the South? That'd be their best shot to recruit the SEC kids. SEC schools get "SEC kids" because they grow up watching those teams, cheering for those teams and hoping to get a scholarship to those teams.

It'd be like Michigan saying -- now that USC is in the B1G, they will now just sign the top recruits out of California.

It is as if some people on this board have absolutely no idea how recruiting works in CFB.

That would 2020 and we won by 6 with a Freshman QB who had never started and ironically plays for you now.

Justin Hebert now starts for the San Diego Chargers
Bo Nix is fighting to start for Oregon

Oregon is getting kids from the south, from the east, from Big 10 states, from Texas.
and places like Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State Clemson get kids from the west.
majority are still going to be regional sure but it already happens and yes i think there would be an increase
