UTjr, this seems impossible ...

He had a tremendous streak.
Oklahoma under Switzer and Wilkinson was pretty amazing. Obie Moore was a LB on your 74, 75 teams and was a good friend of mine in law school. He was getting his LLM at UGA when I was there and we worked for the same professor. His knees were trash ... he walked with an unreal limp. I am sure he has had that cleaned up. But we talked CFB all the time and gained a great deal of respect for OU because of him.

Out of curiosity, why another thread about Tennessee? This would have fit well in the Uh... oh Tennessee thread. I feel like we get more than enough representation on this board and can't blame other posters if there is Tennessee fatigue. (Seems like Oregon and Nebraska are two other teams that get overrepresented on this board... perhaps Texas as well).
You don't get to have 18 violations announced and expect us to not post a bit. Just think back to the 90s and relax!

You can say the same about Georgia fans as well.

There is definitely a complex for what happened in 1990s. TN fanbase is probably the same way about Florida and Spurrier. Florida really owned us.

To sum up Tennessee, we are that historically good program that cannot find a decent coach (although I am really liking our current coach). Kind of like Nebraska.
Georgia fans are retarded in general. You have to grade their behavior on a curve.

@Illustrious Potentate is the exception.

The zero part will still be true if you use end of the year rankings.

Tennessee has actually twice beaten a final top ten team in the last 15 years. One of them was UGA.

2013, 23-21 over (11-2) SCar. SCar finished #4.
2007, 35-14 over (11-2) UGA. UGA finished #2.

Details, details.

I remember my Senior year of college, I ended up going to Georgia game by myself to meet people for some reason and I lived South of the River so it was quite a walk.

On the way back, Georgia fans were talking smack, threatening to fight me, etc. Besides LSU fans, Georgia fans were probably the worse fans that I experienced in Neyland.

I also did college visit to Georgia when I was 17 and they were obsessed with Tennessee and how much they hated Tennessee. I think some of it was driven by the fact they knew that my family was from Tennessee but tour guide kept bringing it up :pound: . That was around the 2001 time period so complex was still there.

I've heard that said of every fanbase at every school. I have been to more away games than almost everyone here except for the one guy who puts us all to shame. I came close to fighting one time - at Ole Miss in the Grove but he was just some drunk dude picking a fight. His own fans shut him down. I am not doubting you, but when this happens there is normally more to the story.

Agreed, every fanbase has the potential but of all the fanbases I experience in my time at Tennessee, Georgia and LSU were the worse. Interestingly, Florida was one of the best. They actually had fans show up and join us at cook out parties, etc. Granted one of those years was after Hurricane St Andrews and we were very sympathetic to Florida fanbase because of that.
