MLB Trade Deadline Thread

Keep in mind those prospect rankings are preseason rankings. I don't think Bowman would be anywhere near #21 in the Yankees farm system at this point (in fact, he doesn't rank in the top 30 in MLB.com's current rankings). Bowman didn't even appear in the top 40 list on FanGraphs coming into the season.

Not to mention the fact that there is much less separating those lower ranked players on the team lists anyway, it's almost like #25 and #40 might switch places if a scout says that #25 has smelly farts but #40 is always timely with the the Febreze whenever he does it.

He has 2 more years of arbitration before is unrestricted free agent. Gonna cost just as much in offseason
The way everyone is talking about it, seemed like he was ready for FA this season. I'm not paying enough attention seeing as how baseball = dead 2 me

In my best contraian mood, have you looked at Soto's slash line this year. I get it's a down year but at his age there is no saying he is definitely worth 4-5 players. I'd just stay away.

If a 158 OPS+ is a down year, sign me up. But the Braves don’t have the farm system to pull it off even if we wanted to.

They need get get Gallo out of New York before he needs suicide watch. This is sad

I don't pay that kind of money to lead the league in walks.
I don’t know. I’d take Barry Bonds production in the early 00’s every time. Getting on base is pretty important and it really plays in the modern 3 outcome baseball. Dude can rake and and has the plate discipline of Joey Votto

I ain't saying he isn't great...so far. Really more of a concern that he might not return to Top 3 status.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I think he’s eventually gonna be a first ballot HOFer. And a player that is still getting on base when they’re slumping is pretty valuable IMO

And if you haven’t seen the Nats lineup, there’s no reason to give Soto anything to hit

I tend to not bet on MLB money lines other than parlays, but Jacob deGrom vs that lineup without Soto or Bell tonight is the closest thing to a sure bet in baseball as they come
