TJ Finley is battling Texas A&M transfer Zach Calzada for the starting quarterback job at Auburn this fall. He also recently inked a historic NIL deal with Amazon, becoming the first college athlete to sign with the major global company. But now, Finley will have to deal with some legal issues. Per a report from WRBL, Finley was arrested by the Auburn Police Department on Thursday:

Per the report, the charge is “attempt to elude.” Details about the arrest haven’t been reported yet. The report states that Auburn is aware of the arrest, but hasn’t issued a statement as of this time. We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.

Never thought I would be excited by Auburn having their starting QB coming out of spring arrested, but here we are!

How bad is Finley If calzada excites you? Yikes.

SEC speed ain't what it use to be.

I read that it was over riding a scooter without a helmet on campus.

There’s a Fulmer Cup thread here somewhere

Then he took off evading police that had to break off the pursuit for safety reasons. It's obvious he is a master criminal with multiple crimes under his belt and a danger to society. Hopefully, the DA will do the right thing and put him away for at least three years.

I could make a list of 1000 misdemeanors that I could have been charged with and this wouldn't even get an honorable mention. Don't get me wrong, he should catch some hell from Coach but it is not a big deal.
