Somebody translate this for me

To reduce down, I think it goes like this
moneyline OU -700. Bet $700 on OU to win a hundred, I think. Never saw it put the way they put it, OU -7000, but I don't look at those places anyway. If it is -7000, would a $7000 bet get a $1000 payoff?

They have the o/u at 56.5, so I wasn't too far off

UTEP is +2800
So a $100 bet on UTEP would get $280?

@gobigred is this the way it works?

No. $100 bet would get you $2800

Right after I posted that, I started thinking that the payout for UTEP was very very low. Especially since they have UTEP at +32.5.
$100 gets $2800. Is this the reason they have OU at -7000? Make everything look the same???
Like I said, I don't remember seeing money lines in the thousands, because I very seldom go to these sites.
Thanks for the info.

First year after a major shake up. Not expecting the universe. Not sure we'll win the conference back. Not sure what to expect really. But will be nice having a coach that actually is happy to be there and hopefully a D that is getting ready for the SEC. Gabriel is the nephew of a good friend of mine I went to H.S. with on Oahu, so will be hoping he has some of the success he enjoyed at UCF.
