I’ve always said Stargate should have been a trilogy.
 
Yesterday, the Beatles thing… I think they left a great movie on the cutting room floor.
 
Maximum Overdrive.
It'd be a completely different movie with technological advances. Now you'd have to avoid drones, not Diesel trucks.

I thought it was pretty good. How would you “fix” it? Recast the main actor and make the ending more exciting perhaps.

Get rid of mostly all the Ed Sheeran crap.
Delve much stronger and grittier into how fame is a mercurial and evil bitch

He sold the rights. He has no right to bitch about what they are doing with his characters now. If he didn’t want the Rocky universe to be expanded, he shouldn’t have sold it.

Anytime there’s a thread like this there is one movie (or maybe a handful of movies all based on one book) that needs a proper making—I am Legend.

An amazing book with a thoughtful crazy twist of an ending that only Richard Matheson can deliver. Been the inspiration for movies like Omega Man and obviously the big Will Smith movie, and every time they fuck everything up. It’s mind blowing… you have the perfect ending already written out and offered to you, and you throw it in the trash for some boring uninspired garbage.

I wouldn’t mind them doing a cinema universe of King’s work, tying it all together. Do all the thinny stories (Colorado Kid, Black House, Talisman, Hearts of Atlantis), all the Flagg books (Stand, Needful Things, Dragon’s Eye…) and the Dark Tower books. If done with a strong content supervisor (NOT King), it could be a very interesting movie franchise.
