Paramount+ (Paramount Plus)

I just did a search…

Yellowstone is not on Paramount at all (neither old or new)
I just searched and you are right.

NBCUniversal nabbed the streaming rights to "Yellowstone" in 2020. ViacomCBS' new streaming service Paramount+ — an expanded and rebranded version of CBS All Access — didn't launch until March of 2021, which is why the show isn't streaming on the service.

Since the show is so popular on the Paramount Network, sending the series straight to Paramount+ would likely only pull in money from those who have already watched the series from week to week on the air. To avoid limited business with repeat viewers, ViacomCBS has made a deal with Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, to stream Yellowstone on their platform.

This way, they’re making money from the show both through their regular network watchers and via their external deal with NBC and Peacock — a deal that will, ultimately, help drive more viewers back to the Paramount Network. While this makes sense from a business angle, it may come as a disappointment to fans of the show who are subscribed to Paramount+. All of this said, Yellowstone‘s prequel, 1883, is available to stream on Paramount+, giving viewers a reason to subscribe to multiple streamers.

I just assumed it was there and guess we have been watching it on the Paramount Network instead. Pretty much everything else in the Sheridanverse will be on Paramount+

Your post is very confusing.

I'm under the impression that new episodes of Yellowstone will be on Paramount+ and Peacock has the reruns.

Halo wasn’t bad.
The offer was great.
Star Trek Discovery and Strange New Worlds are great.
Yellowstone
1883
Mayor of Kingstown

Paramount is pretty strong and getting better.

Yellowstone isn't on Paramount +

I pulled most of that from articles and I agree it is a bit confusing and what I think is happening is the following:

- Yellowstone will be aired on the Paramount Channel for Cable and it will air live on Paramont+ but I don't think it will be available on-demand on Paramount+ for long.

- The deal with Peacock was inked before the launch of Paramount+ so eventually this might change and everything moves to P+

- All the new Sheridanverse shows will be on P+ which includes: 1883, 1923, 6666s, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, Lioness, Land Man. Not sure if all of these will make it through development but a good chunk of them will.

Also a lot of old nostalgia stuff. Feel like they’re killing it on that front. Not just rebooting Beavis and Butthead with a movie AND new episodes, they did a new Reno 911 movie, old music videos/MTV shows, and you can show the kids how awesome kid’s programming was is the 90s.

South Park nailed it pretty well. Every fucking thing in the future is going to have a plus after it’s name.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Paramount is considering shutting down Showtime’s service and merging its content to Paramount+. The move is not official yet, though WSJ claims that they are in the “early discussion” phase of the merger, which would bring Showtime originals like Billions and Yellowjackets over to Paramount’s service, which includes everything from Star Trek to South Park.

This is interesting and will give Paramount+ a big boost in original content. With Star Trek, Sheridan verse, Studio Library and now Showtime’s original programming Paramount+ is becoming a solid player.

If it kept the same price that would make it a service I would consider.

Netflix being able to stay relevant is getting tougher and tougher.
Netflix is losing all it's content that isn't created by them as media rights contracts expire with the parent companies then it gets added to those.

At this point Netflix is getting old content and in house content, that's why they have actually started caring about ratings for in house shows since that's their way forward

It’s feeling more and more like they’re gonna slowly die out or merge and become a content studio
