Most places around here have a separate person doing pick-up orders. In any case, the fast food drive-through person has additional tasks as well and likely gets paid less to do them.

Dayum! The daughter must have been beyond tired of it if she did that.
That's pretty brutal, especially if she just brought a grandchild of their into the world.
Maybe it will cause the parents to rethink some things.
Sometimes something that jarring can open people's eyes.

Then again, maybe not.

Maybe she owed them money for the house going on sale and she's skipping out on repaying them?

I don't think you guys realize they don't make more hourly than fast-food workers.
