GAME Northwestern vs. Nebraska(-12.5) -- 12:30 | FOX

Nebraska should fire Frost today.

At least it would give the program the appearance of not accepting losing year after year under that guy.
He's getting paid 5 million a year to lose twice as many games as they win.

He's loss 2 1/2 times more games as he's won inside the B1G and he is 0-14 against ranked teams!

Why does this man still have a job?!?!?!
I heard that October 1st his buyout gets cut in half.

After the 10/1 Indiana game, his buyout drops 7.5 million dollars.

My understanding is they were going to fire him end of last season but he renegotiated to give himself one more year by lowering his buyout.

Nebraska has spent a lot of buyouts the past few years.

That was a mistake. They should have just sucked it up and fired him last year.

I thought Northwestern was supposed to be awful this year

Why I laughed at people saying Nebraska’s schedule set up for a good year. Correct me if I’m wrong but most of the teams on the schedule have been on the schedule the past 4 years and are teams that Frost and Co. have struggles with.

Nothing’s easy until you prove it.

Frost sucks. Problem is, he was the Wonder Boy who was supposed to lead Nebraska back to the Promised Land. Dude isn't getting the job done and it's a combination of things. Poor game decisions are a factor but that talent level is abysmal by the old Nebraska standards. Northwestern was pushing Nebraska's defensive line around like it was on roller skates. And where was the razzle dazzle on D to create some confusion for the offensive players? It wasn't there. I doubt every Nebraska coach is a moron. My bet is the talent level is so poor the coaches know their players simply aren't able to (a) run right through people and/or (b) are not able to finesse anything either. I'll be disappointed if OU doesn't score 45 points when we play in a couple of weeks. I am sooooo tired of watching these Nebraska losses but the Huskers have got to be realistic: firing Wonder Boy won't solve all the problems. They need some better players too. Sigh.
There is a lot of truth in this. That said Frost had to go. Giving him another year was a mistake. Nebraska hired him to bring his high octane option offense to Lincoln. He is now running Whipple’s offense. If your HC has failed at his core competency, what can he bring to the job?

Sums up frost pretty well

Frost messed everything up, I can't even joke about going 14-1 like 15-0. It's just not funny, it's pathetic. Pffffffffffffffffffft

Disregard the above. I've had time to reflect and come to the conclusion that nobody was beating NW yesterday. NOBODY.

What I think we need is some more trick plays that'll get them across the finish line and show that #NUSpeed cuz we're #NUFast. No more pie ass, no more bit b. Look out North Dakota we're going to punish you for northwestern!!!

Skooooooooooooo!!!

You could have said the same for Tom Osborne coached Nebraska teams up until Washington humbled us in the early 90s. Osborne actually went to Florida State’s spring practices to see how Bobby Bowden ran his team in Spring

Osborne didn't go, but he sent Charlie McBride and George Darlington down there to learn defense.

Nebraska had a Big 8 defense built to stop run oriented teams. When they'd run into FSU/Miami type offenses in the Orange Bowl, they didn't hold up so well.

The result was to move each level forward.
CB's became LB's.
LB's became Defensive ends.

Fire him today and his buyout is $15 mil

Wait until Oct 1st to fire him and his buyout drops to $7 million.

I felt they should/could have fired him 'with cause' last year based solely on the NCAA violations. Let the courts figure out if he had to get paid or Nebraska had to honor his contract.

Maybe Nebraska's lawyers didn't think it'd fly, but I also have to feel that if he were anyone NOT named Scott Frost from Wood River, NE he'd been fired 'with cause'.
