Bla bla bla more being wrong from a Michigan n00bMichigan isn't in a much better spot. We won't ever recruit like the top 3-4 teams either. Why? We don't have 5 star recruits every year in state to recruit. The vast majority of 5 star guys we get is because of academics.
I'm not delusional though -- Nebraska fans truly think they are a coach away from being nationally elite again. I've been saying this since Nebraska came over to the B1G. It couldn't have been a worse move for the football program. Recruiting, which was already difficult, is much harder because now you play in the Midwest. You lost your national rivals. You now play in the "other division" of the B1G that has none of the top 3 teams.
I think Nebraska could become competitive each year in the B1G West, but nationally elite isn't happening, unless Warren Buffett decides he wants to hand you a blank check to buy an endless supply of recruiting classes.
You didn't graduate highschool. NU isn't NW either.Northwestern is a complete nerd school. 93% of NU graduates successfully complete grad school. Including me.
Corn harvesting hillbillies have been humbled.
I'm not disappointed any more. Nebraska had very good run in 70's. 80's and 90's. Probably the best top 2-3 team three decade run of any CFB team. Glad I witnessed.Northwestern is a complete nerd school. 93% of NU graduates successfully complete grad school. Including me.

Finally, a Husker fan who accepts the reality of the current situationI'm not disappointed any more. Nebraska had very good run in 70's. 80's and 90's. Probably the best top 2-3 team three decade run of any CFB team. Glad I witnessed.
Yes -- it was Pelini's fault, it was Mike Riley's fault, it is now Scott Frost's fault. Next year it will be......................fill in the blanks fault. At some point, you look at the facts. You have to see there isn't a chance you can recruit like the top teams and that isn't changing any time in the future unless Nebraska relocates their campus.Bla bla bla more being wrong from a Michigan n00b

I'd have expected strength and conditioning to have improved under frost compared to Riley's guys, it feels like he didn't take it nearly as seriously as he should have til this yearFrost sucks. Problem is, he was the Wonder Boy who was supposed to lead Nebraska back to the Promised Land. Dude isn't getting the job done and it's a combination of things. Poor game decisions are a factor but that talent level is abysmal by the old Nebraska standards. Northwestern was pushing Nebraska's defensive line around like it was on roller skates. And where was the razzle dazzle on D to create some confusion for the offensive players? It wasn't there. I doubt every Nebraska coach is a moron. My bet is the talent level is so poor the coaches know their players simply aren't able to (a) run right through people and/or (b) are not able to finesse anything either. I'll be disappointed if OU doesn't score 45 points when we play in a couple of weeks. I am sooooo tired of watching these Nebraska losses but the Huskers have got to be realistic: firing Wonder Boy won't solve all the problems. They need some better players too. Sigh.
Pure fucking gold.Northwestern is a complete nerd school. 93% of NU graduates successfully complete grad school. Including me.
