What if Nebraska starts 5-1?

He was on fire when his o-line was fresh.
Credit NW for making some good pass rush adjustments too.
Yep, great adjustments from the Wildcat defense in the second half. Thought Nebraska was going to run away with it after those first few drives

Not helping is a lot different than costing them the game. You can't give an offensive juggernaut like Northwestern a break.
I never stated that one call/play alone cost them the game. Again though, it sure didn't help.

They just lost to NW and you think they can beat OU?

I know OU is starting over after losing Riley but OU isn't that bad.
OU was 11-2 last year, Nebraska was 3-9 yet OU only beat em by a TD.

AND.... Northwestern might just be a good team this year and this is just a loss to a good team :noidea:

NW was predicted to be in last place.

NW was predicted to be in last place.
Spencer Rattler was predicted to win the Heisman last year too :noidea:

Fitz and Northwestern develop teams, some years they are bad, some are good. This MIGHT be one of the good ones, we'll see.

Not likely.

Not likely.
NW could legitimately start out 4-0 but then have play:
@PSU
Wisconsin
@Maryland
@Iowa
Ohio State

All in 5 weeks, that could be their undoing. Although 2-3 in that stretch wouldn’t be surprising. (They’ve won their last 3 at Iowa). the last 3 after that aren’t the easiest ether but it is certainly possible they Won’t be Bad even after that 5 game stretch.

They have Duke, Southern Illinois and Miami of OH and then face the Conference.

They will lose all those that you listed......except for Maryland maybe.

I never stated they had murders row the next 3. Just that I expect 4-0.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they go 2-3 in those middle 5.

If they can win 2 of their last 3, that Could be 9 wins.

I say all this and watch they lose to Duke Saturday.

Kind of a bizarre stat that I had to verify.

Even more questionable is how Nebraska could have been a 12 pt favorite.

Many suckered on last years 56 - 7 Nebraska win.
Fitz is now 3-2 against Frost.

Ohh yeah, I looked the exact same thing up. I thought it was just the last two but no it was 3 straight in IC.

It had to be last years game that factored in. But still, it never even crossed my mind NU wouldn’t cover much less win. Yes, I was one of the suckers.

Yea I know I know but lettuce take a fair and honest look at this schedule:

Northwestern - L

North Dakota - that’s a W imo

Georgia Southern - another dub

Oklahoma - ok, huge challenge BUT, what does OU really have now and they played em close last year, may well be a W here too.

Indiana - Win

Rutgers - win

Thoughts?

Stop

I can almost see 4-2 but not 5-1, but we will see. I kinda hope they do go 5-1. I’m at the point I feel sorry for their fans on here.

3 of those will be losses. Maybe 4
