OFFICIALLY GAME WEEK! OREGON takes down georgia

The #11 Oregon Ducks head to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the defending national champions and #3 Georgia Bulldogs in College Football's biggest game of week 1. The game takes place at a "neutral" site in Atlanta which will make it all the more enjoyable when the Ducks from the PAC-10 take down the defending champs in their own backyard.

Oh I am LIT for this game! I've tried to contain my excitement all off-season for this one and now that we are officially game week it's time to let it loose! Studying Georgia, reading their articles, following them on social media to get bits and pieces of practice notes and who has come and gone from the team and I have to tell you I LOVE Oregon's chances here. Love it!

I am giddy at how the college football landscape will look at around 7:30 pm EST after Oregon has just taken down the defending national champions in their home state. The 11th ranked Ducks will instantly be catapulted into the top 5 and sit back and enjoy the CFP conversations. In a world where everyone wants instant gratification, THIS IS IT! Oregon beats Georgia and BAM! Ducks and playoffs go hand in hand talks for the rest of the season.

Adding to the greatness that will be for Oregon with this win is the instant credibility that will come to the PAC conference. A couple years ago Oregon had Auburn on the ropes, went toe to toe with Auburn but they were beaten by a Bo Nix, well now Oregon HAS Bo Nix! Dan Lanning is a former Georgia coach he knows what their weakness is (which is plenty) and he knows how to out coach Kirby Smart.

This is the game this weekend folks! This is the GAME!! I can't wait for Oregon to take down the defending national champions in ATLANTA and in doing so inserting themselves into the spotlight atop the college football landscape for the season. No better way to start 2022 season off then a win in Georgia.

SKOOOOOOOOOOOO DUCKS!!!!!!
OD does it ever bother you that the B1G looked at Oregon and said,”Nah, we good” ??

it just proves that the Big Ten is scared of stiff competition

we already saw what Oregon did to the Suckeyes last year. that would become an annual event if the Ducks joined the Big Ten

1.) That hasn't happened, Oregon and Phil Knight were in Indianapolis last week talking about adding Oregon and the B1G is interested int expanding to 20 teams.

2.) Even if we don't go to the B1G, fine, I'd much rather either go SEC or stay in the PAC where we will have ESPN in our back pockets and build the conference up and routinely be in the playoff discussion.

Build up the PAC with who?

Oregon might never recover after this game.

I'm rooting for the Dicks to shake things up against UGA.

in all seriousness though, i see this one going to Georgia, 38-13

You might want to check out how Nix has played against UGA - hint, he's 0-3 and it hasn't been pretty.

Please tell me more ... what are the plenty of weaknesses we have?

I am a big Dan Lanning fan, but how does he know how to out corch CKS, when all he has done is learn from the great Kirbs?

I do believe that the spread is a little too high only because it's the first game of the year and both teams will have first game moments. I am thinking 34-17 UGA, and we don't cover.

Phil Knight was in some bar talking to some rando fans about how great it would be to be in the B1G. No officials from the B1G were in attendance.

The SEC? We don't want you. You don't bring enough to the table, plus we aren't stupid to add some team 2500 miles away from the heart of our conference.

Have you recovered from Montana?

Oregon went into the Horsehoe last year without some of their top players and took down Ohio State. A Georgia team that lost a ton of players and their championship winning defensive coach....Love Oregon's chances here
