Point Spread on your Team this week and how you feeling about it

According to Caesers. Idk. We matchup up with them pretty well. But they've got elite talent. Probably looking at six first-rounders on offense. That's why we need to have methodical drives and keep their offense off the field.

Only way Ohio State covers is if they score quickly and often forcing ND to pass more to keep up. If that happens, then it will be a bloodbath. Otherwise, I think we are going to have ourselves a good game.

Some notable ones

Alabama =38.5
Texas =39.5
Michigan =27.5

All pretty high

After watching Utah State struggle with UConn, I think the Alabama spread is about right, but Saban's not very big on running up the score, so any Utah State points could let them cover.

ND is +17.5 against OSU. Seems about right given the offense OSU has. If we can control the line and tempo I think we have a good shot to cover. Buchner adds a little bit more of the run game element than Coan ever would have so our best chance is methodical drives down the field and great red zone defense. OSU is gonna rack up the yards, just need to keep them to FG's.
I don't expect to win at all but 17.5 is a bit of a slap in the face. If OSU covers, we're in for a long year.

physical teams are OSU's kryptonite -- going to be really interesting to see how they fare against ND's offensive line. That is ND's strength. I'm not so sure you are going to see that many points unless ND falls behind early.
We'll see if Jarett Patterson is healthy enough to go. Not that our backups aren't capable but its hard to replicate a first team AA.

ND doesn't have a QB. So this game could get out of hand pretty quick if ND's defense can't keep OSU in check.

Buchner is fine. They're definitely going to play ball control and that plays to Buchner's strength. On defense, if the front 4 can't get pressure then it will get ugly because they can't leave those DB's on an island with OSU's receivers.

I think it's a similar line to that of what the CFP game against Bama was. I don't think this OSU team is as good as that Bama was, but I also don't think we're quite as good as the 2020 team was either. We just need to keep it close early on, so we can stick to the game plan.

Yeah, but that was also at the end of the year too. Week one games are always sketchy. ND scared the hell out of me week 1 last year. Defense was a seive in that game.

Lots of highly rated QB's end up sucking. First one that comes to mine, Jimmy Clausen
Clausen wasn't the problem. There was no defense on those teams and he was thrown to the wolves as a freshman with no OL in 2007

I didn't know he wasn't healthy. A backup is capable, but losing the leader on the OL who happens to be an AA too definitely hurts

I'd take UTEP and the points. OU's first game. UTEP's second game. If UTEP scores a couple of times it's a huge spread to cover.
If you guys can score 36, then give the points cuz we won’t get more than 3.

He was injured all of last year but was good to go in fall camp. They've kept him out the past couple of practices saying he had a "sprain" but they've been real cagey about his condition. They say they're optomistic he'll be good to go but he may not be 100%.

Projected starting line LT to RT; Joe Alt, Patterson, Zeke Correll, Josh Lugg, and Blake Fisher.

If Patterson is out, it will be Alt, Andrew Kristofic or Rocco Spindler, Correll, Lugg and Fisher.

Clausen was actually pretty good after his FR season. He's certainly better than anything Harbaugh has thrown out at QB.
