All this egg talk is crazy, I was told groceries have only gone up 12% in two years.

Me: I want to run the committee meeting on Wednesday, since we need to talk about the upcoming Medicaid Rules changes and how they will affect our department. I've written the policies and I know the most about the new Rules.
Bosszilla: Sure, go ahead and run the meeting.
<one day later>
Bosszilla: here are the documents we need to share tomorrow (attaches 15 docs). We will start with items A-G, which have nothing to do with the upcoming Rules changes
<20 minutes of deep breathing later>
Me: I think we need to bump those items down the road. Tomorrow we need to discuss process, and how our department and the committee will address the Rules changes.
Bosszilla: Okay, then let's share the 85-page Rules changes document
Ms: We don't necessarily want to get bogged down in the weeds of what the Rules changes are. We don't have time for that in a one hour quarterly meeting. We're going to pick a sub-committee tomorrow who will have primary responsibility for addressing the changes.
Bosszilla: For me the most important detail we need to discuss is Rule Change Weed #20

Me: Rule change 20 is something we won't have time to discuss tomorrow. Look, you know I'm going to end up doing all the work myself, nobody on this committee ever does jack squat. Can we just focus on picking a sub-committee? I can maybe get 2-3 other people to help me out. You won't even be here for the next meeting in January.
