Week 1 LOLs

ACC plays more road/neutral games than the SEC + Big Ten combined. 23 more than the Pac-12.

today UNC plays @ App today + NCSU plays @ ECU

and i know Wake has also signed up for a trip @ ODU. Not sure when that game is going to be played.

fucking crazy and more proof that the ACC just doesn't get how this whole college football thing works. David Hale is right. There is zero returns on these games. i have always been a proponent of Wake playing the easier OOC schedule as possible, b/c they're never going to be a playoff team and 10-2 looks a lot better than 8-4

I'm confused by that last line in that tweet. If 5 teams (Bama, UGA, Auburn, Florida, and LSU) have "combined to play two", wouldn't that mean that at least a couple haven't played any?

Biggest home crowd to see an Old Dominion game. VT found it’s kryptonite! ODU was picked to finish last in their conference, but then again so was Northwestern.

I bet Vandy was too (and still might)

Don't know about the rest, but for some reason or other, LSU has a long time period of playing Rice home and home. Maybe not too many games, but over a long period of time. I remember the 70s, they played quite a few games during that decade. Probably started way back with the SWC.

A college football game was delayed on Friday night due to an elevator issue.

Seriously.

Friday night, the Virginia Tech vs. Old Dominion game was delayed because some of the Hokies coaching staff got stuck in an elevator at halftime.

The Hokies' coaching press box was empty at the start of the second half.

Virginia Tech's coaching box was indeed empty at the start of the second half.

That's some @Camfantasy-level stuff there.

Dude that’s better than running the sprinklers hard before the game. This is next level genius stuff.

Blah. The sport is already pretty driven by profits and pecking order as it is. Just ink out more 2-for-1’s/3-or-1’s and call it good.

Plus, the whole “we’re better than you, that’s why” attitude really just makes me want to barf.

It needs to be 5 for 1

This place is dead and it's game day. No GDT for the Michigan game, which might be one of the better noon games today. Absurd.

On the PAC12 Pregame Show, the guy talking about the USC game just said that this is an unprecidented USC team that has more talent than maybe they have had ever.

He must be 15 years old.

Early 2000's say hello.

And most of it's on the Offensive side of the ball, I'm thinking.

I want to see
