His pitch framing and arm are valuable assets, though catchers like him will lose a ton of value when robot umpires are put in. But for me, he's always been on about the same level as Jason Kendall, just without the speed.

It's almost certainly what Pujols and Yadier will do and Cardinals fans will support them every step of the way.

Those two are protected up on high. Being old and respected, and most importantly- never having been caught, make it unlikely they'll ever be exposed. Plus, neither one has a ridiculously bad story to explain steroid use, like Manny Ramirez or Roger Clemens.

Fast forward and Pujols gets into the HoF 1st or 2nd ballot and Molina on about the 8th try- probably because of some whiny BBWAA campaign to elect the first Puerto Rican catcher since, uh... Ivan Rodriguez.

It's going to take another ex-player (maybe a teammate) to come out again. Someone who isn't worried about Pujols' bluff about a lawsuit. Or maybe a bulldog investigative journalist that gets a family member (maybe his ex-wife?) to start singing.

It'll happen quick when it finally happens and Pujols will probably take others down with him.
