Week 1 Recap

An SEC team traveling that far...

I'll take things that never happen for $500, Alex.

LSU and Tennessee have traveled West a lot. LSU actually went to Washington, UCLA, and both Arizonas.

When you can list conference teams that have traveled that far, that quickly....

you only prove my point. lol

I mean, Miss St also did it in like 2002, I guess.

There’s a decent chance that UK & Arky would too imo. Same with Vandy, if that means anything.

They don’t seem to be full-blown divas like most SEC teams.

For reference for anyone who didn’t watch, the two “trick” plays were a fly sweep and a bootleg.
The nerve of the Georgia players not standing still for Oregon

Exactly this. Oregon just saw an elite team in Week 1. The PAC-12 is going to be way easy compared to what they saw and experienced in Atlanta, Georgia.

I watched other PAC teams last night. No one is close to Georgia's level and Oregon is leaps and bounds better than all the PAC teams I saw last night. Utah is going to be a dogfight, but I love a good redemption story.
And from watching the other PAC teams, you will completely understand why the conference won't be in the CFP again until they give them a token spot in the 12 team field in 2 years. :)

How many Pac12 teams have been to SEC Stadiums?

I also left out Georgia going to Arizona State, Ole Miss going to Cal, and Texas A&M traveling West some as well.

Only ones that haven't are Auburn, Alabama, and Florida.

BTW, Tennessee has went to Cal in 2007, UCLA in 2008, and Oregon in 2010. None ended well.

LSU won at Arizona (I think it was 52-3) in 2003, Arizona State in 2005 (Katrina), Washington in 2009, and UCLA last year.

Tennessee is supposed to play USC soon in a home-and-home.

If you want to point out a lack of games, it is the B1G and SEC. Very few home-and-home with those conferences. SEC tends to play ACC and Big12 a lot.

I can't believe Oregon's the first team to ever go over an entire time zone for a football game.

So Nebraska traveled 6 hours different in our loss to NW in Ireland, soooo mulligan?

What's with this "Georgia's backyard" nonsense? They have a losing record in that stadium. They just lost one last season there too.

Congrats on that 46 point loss though.

What's with this "Georgia's backyard" nonsense?

One team took a little road trip, if that, while the other flew in from the other side of the country.

Even implying that it was a legitimate “neutral site” game is far more nonsensical than calling it “another home game”.

They have a losing record in that stadium.

So? The majority of those losses are probably to teams like LSU, UAL, Clemson, etc .

ATL isn’t exactly unfamiliar/hostile territory to any of those teams. It is to UOR, tho.

Not the same thing.

FWIW, I have seen Alabama play Out West twice in person (@ UCLA in 2000 and @ Hawaii in 2002).

Alabama and USC have played 8 times, and 4 of the games were in California (3 @ USC and 1 Rose Bowl), 2 in Alabama (both @ Legion Field), 1 in Hawaii (Aloha Bowl) and 1 in Texas (Cowboys Classic). The Tide leads the series 6-2 with both losses @ Legion Field in Birmingham.

Let's see. Oregon State is the same old Oregon State as the last couple years. Vanilla offense, struggled vs a washed up Boise St. team/program these days.

Washington State was in a dogfight vs Idaho

Your pups played some Kent State team and didn't look amazing. Maybe you guys look better with your upcoming week 2 opponent Portland State. I'd say grow a pair and schedule a real non-conference game, but after last years Montana debacle I understand your programs hesitation to do that.

Lol Oregon fan calling any offense "Vanilla" after watching that display vs Georgia Saturday

We’ve played home and away with UCLA, AzSU, and Colorado in the past. Have UCLA in the future.
