HooplaNation's Week 2 Rankings - Discussion Thread

I could see them dropping a spot only because UGA was that dominant. I'd put UGA 1, Bama 2, and tOSU 3.

And yeah before anyone gets defensive I'd drop A&M as well.
Why? Is Sam Houston down this year? They are usually a pretty damn good FCS school.

I might need to alter mine to add FSU after last night. That game looked closer than it actually was.

FSU looked pretty good, and that was a road game.

King should have had at least 2 more INT's, didn't play that well. The entire first half we looked lost and the defense looked good but slow. I know it was the first game but looking more like a fringe 10'th spot team...10-12 maybe.

The team looked good, the play calling looked bad. The team looks good enough to drop the gimmicks and just assert dominance Mac McDonald style.

I'll say this, my week 1 rankings have nothing to do with my preseason rankings or any other rankings. It's actually a lot more difficult to try and eyeball only with no other rankings bias. Pretty sure my entire 25 are also no loss teams, it's only fair til 1 loss teams are more abundant. Sorry Notre Dame. Yea that's the only one I think jumps back into the (my)top fastest of the teams I omitted

The crazy religious schools meet. Future conference besties!!

Throw TCU in there and the Big 12 has 25% of their schools with religious affiliations. Only one close to that would be the ACC with BC, Duke and Wake at 3. Throw Miami in and that 4/14 are private 4 1/2 if you count ND. PAC has Stanford and USC. B1G only has Northwestern. SEC only Vandy. Not a lot of private schools in the P5s.

I will post the Rankings thread at noon (CT). That is basically 3 hours.

Syracuse is private, too.

and fwiw, GT might as well be private. I'm not sure if it has changed, but every student at GT has to take some form of calculus.

That is still the case, I just looked at Grad School there and was asked if I took Calculus as all incoming students have to.

Goid catch. I forgot about Syracuse. My bad.
