So, Oregon, LSU, Utah, etc. are done for the season as far as the CFP goes. Are we sure about that? How are we so sure? Go back to 2014. Virginia Tech turned out to be a game above 0.500 according to their record. Ohio State's only loss that season on their way to being national champs? Virginia Tech. Nebraska had a lackluster season in 2015, and they beat Michigan State that season. Michigan State made the playoff. I feel that saying Utah, Oregon, etc. are out of the CFP is a little premature at this point. Some folks have said that this team or that team looked great this past weekend. Others reply well it's the first, maybe second game. Isn't this the same for the teams that lost? Especially close losses.

I think Oregon is done. That was bad, on national TV, and the second highest anticipated game in Week 1, and it was over quick.

Utah, probably didn't have much of a chance anyways, as the PAC is pretty weak this year and so they needed that OOC win, and didn't get it done.

LSU, no they aren't done. Any 1 loss SEC team can run the table and make the playoffs easily. No question about it.

I totally agree with a lot of this. I am just wondering if the ACC could be more down than the PAC 12. Miami played a nobody. VT played a nobody and got beat and Hokies looked like shit. UNC gives up 40 points and 300-400 yards in the 4th quarter.

No, because you have Clemson, which is better than any PAC team this year (most likely), and FSU was the only team in the country that defeated an SEC team.

Miami was the first game under Mario, whom I do believe will turn Miami around, so unless GA Tech beats Clemson tonight in a 4-3 game in which both teams look trash, you guys should be much better than us.

OP claims to not be a Virginia Tech fan when they lose to old dominion but all he talks about and references is Virginia Tech

I think Oregon and LSU were kind of done before season started but it will be hard for both to overcome loss. I just don't think both are good enough to run the table and LSU strikes me as a 6-6 or 7-5 team. Oregon is probably a 9-3 team. (I don't think they go through Pac12 North unscathed and may not even win it).

As for Utah, they are definitely not done. I think Florida looks like an 8-4 type team, even better if the ball bounces there way. Utah probably should have won that game anyways. Utah is the only CFP playoff contender in that bunch. They will need some help.

Not many people hold a 1st game loss against you at the end of the season really. Are they ??

Well let’s see, are their names Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, or Oklahoma? No?

Well then yes they are 100% done..
I think Utahs got some wiggle room. Thats a good team. Great, dunno. They stepped on their dicks in the swamp a few times. I got USC winning the pac anyway, but the Youts, with help could have a season.

Wtf you worried about it for? I think I listed other teams besides Virginia Tech. If you have that much trouble reading, maybe coloring books are more your speed.

Oregon, LSU and Utah are done. The team that lost and still has a chance is Notre Dame. And ND's chance is slim at best. Those first three are toast as far as cfp. LSU wasn't in it before the season started. Don't think they made any Top 25 preseason lists.

Hey Jon, just because you’re down don’t try to bring us all down

When it comes to the cfp, y'all are done. No way Oregon climbs to the top 4 by season end. Good shot at the consolation Rose Bowl game . Good luck with.
