Average NFL coordinator makes 1mm. Matt Rhule currently makes 8.5mm. Nebraska paid Scott Frost 5mm a year and they are desperate so Rhule having a proven record of turning several schools around could probably get 7mm out of them.

You gonna pass up 7mm a year plus be at a program you just have to reach a bowl game to keep your job?

I mean it isnt USC or Alabama or Florida.......... that is a no brainer but it is still more prestigious than many out there. For any coach who does succeed he becomes a GOD among men in Nebraska and will receive full support.

Nebraska fans arent demanding championships, they want us to be respectable. If we lose it better be losing while doing everything right on both sides of the ball.

That is what I want from Tennessee. I don't expect National Titles, I just don't want us losing 15 straight to Alabama and not being competitive or losing 16 out of last 17 against Florida.

thats the sentence that follows... If you start having discipline on both sides of the ball wins will follow and so will respect. Losing because you have a defense that gives up MULTIPLE 40+ yard td runs to a G5 is not respectable. Its been disgraceful to call what we put out there a defense

Pelini was an asshat and couldnt figure out how to win the games that mattered, he did have decent defenses for a little bit. Id still take our 2009 defense with current offense and call that "respectable" for the most part (though pelini had no discipline when it came to penalties on his teams)
