Frost fired

Just to give you a glimpse of the difference in recruiting:

Last 10 years
Nebraska has signed a total of 5 top 100 recruits.
Michigan has signed a total of 36 top 100 recruits.
Penn State has signed a total of 25 top 100 recruits.

I don't even feel like looking up Ohio State, but my guess is we could add up all the top 100 recruits signed by the entire B1G and Ohio State would still have more.

This is just top 100 recruits. If I drop it to blue chip recruits -- the difference is even larger.
No one’s saying they haven’t sucked the last decade. Isn’t this conversation about them needing the right coach to turn it around? Your weird stance seems to be that can’t happen bEcAUsE LoCaTIoN!

The right coach will get guys there. Nebraska can absolutely get to a place where they’re consistently competing for Big 10 championships and playoff spots.

I’m not even sure what your goofy reasoning for why that can’t happen is anymore.

How great were Bama's recruiting classes when Mike Shula was coaching them?

Blue blood programs are pretty much never going to have completely empty cupboards because of name recognition. Nebraska is no different. Plus, as I mentioned, the transfer portal is a good way to add talent quickly.
The rivals rankings only go back to 2002. Both 2002 and 2003 were pretty bad for them but after that and before Saban got there in 2007:

2004 - #14
2005 - #18
2006 - #11

2004 and 2006 would have ranked #2 and #3 for Nebraska in the last 20 years. I don't think people realize how bad Nebraska's recruiting has been. They can absolutely hit the portal, like MSU...but I think their peak is what MSU and Wisconsin has done.

TODAY, yes, but that is more about coaching than anything. When nebraska finds the right coach and gets a few 9-10 win seasons strung together the recruiting will pick up and at that point NO michigan will not have any recruiting advantage.

Coaching > All

Coaching doesn't change the fact you have no in state talent or talent in surrounding states. Saban has signed like 30 five star recruits since he has been coach of Alabama just from the state of Alabama.
If you look at Georgia's roster since Kirby Smart took over -- I'd guess they've signed 15-20 five star recruits just from the state of Georgia.
Lincoln Riley going to California -- you will see him signing majority of the five star guys from California once he is settled in.

The only prayer Nebraska has to even recruit like teams in the B1G, not including Ohio State, as Nebraska will never be able to recruit like Ohio State, is if you are handing recruits blank NIL checks and telling them to fill it in

look more retarded walls of text from a mouth breather who knows nothing about college football

That's three different coaches in the last decade -- have they all sucked? Somehow Mike Riley was able to win games at Oregon State of all places. Scott Frost was able to go undefeated at UCF.

Did they just decide not to recruit top players to Nebraska?

oregon state and ucf are not in the b1g, mike riley literally didnt make players lift weights and let them bitch out in practice.... frost couldnt let go of his g5 assistants that were in over their heads.... proving you know nothing about college football let alone about nebraska football

Tell me what Nebraska is going to sell the recruits on?

Location? Middle of nowhere

Academics? Bottom of the B1G

Facilities? Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois and Northwestern are the only B1G schools with top 25 facilities nationally.

Rivalry games? Wisconsin and Iowa

Yes -- they could win at "inferior schools" but not the B1G West. Can't wait to hear the excuses for the next coach.

As I've said since the day Nebraska went from being a big fish in the Big 12 to just another fish in the B1G. Tremendous deal financially for the school, but absolutely brutal for the football program. Crazy how right i've been, yet I keep getting told how wrong I am.

So michigan is some sort of location?

michigan academics is somehow important to guys who want to go to the nfl?

facilities Nebraska is about to be on top in the B1G after renovations are completed

Rivalry games? who cares? what recruit says "i wana go to Michigan so i can lose to ohio state every year" ??

more derpage

at the end of the day they didnt get it done..... we've already gone over recruiting with average in the 20's and better than the entire west for most years (its really taken a shit )

Michigan is not a destination for anyone any more than Nebraska get over your retarded self.

When we find a coach that can get it done the pieces will fall into place, it doesnt need your approval. Keep hating and knowing absolutely nothing about college football.

UCLA sits in the same recruiting grounds as USC and are in a nicer part of the city. Why don't they get the recruits USC does?
They never paid their players as much?

derp more derp and extra derp you clearly didnt read what you are replying to. Obviously nebraska has been absolute shit for the past 8 years so recruiting is going to suffer. The right coach will change that

LOL no by turn it around i mean do just as good as Michigan, Penn State etc. You're on crack if you think you have any advantage over Nebraska just because of your location.

Major derpage on your part.

The right coach will get nebraska on this list in due time
What is the "right coach" going to do with a bunch of kids who are basically scrubs? I mean, honestly? You can name any great college or pro coach that you want, past or present, and they aren't going to magically squeeze lemonade out of a mfkn apple.

It's not coaching. It's culture, it's academics, it's absolutely location. It's a lot of things, and coaching is a very, very small part of it.

LOL the kids we have arent bad its coaching. It has nothing to do with location, and kids dont go to school to "play book learnin" you clearly dont know what you're talking about if you think coaching is a "very small part"

Major derpage you need to just stick to the daily thread cuz you're out of your league here too

pointing out that michigan fans wants do not equate to reality if they kept their retarded dreams to themselves we wouldnt have to smack them around

Yes.

at least you admit you are clueless finally
I'm prepared to make you a $100 bet that Nebraska, regardless of whichever coach they may bribe into joining their dreadful program, will not compete in the college playoff for the next 15 years. Probably longer. I'm pretty sure I'd even go so far as to put another $100 that they won't even achieve a national AP ranking in that span. Why? Because of the plethora of aforementioned issues with Nebraska's location, culture, and academics.

, that exists in the middle of the country surrounded by corn,
Typical bullshit by a person who clearly is clueless. It really is hard to take your spewage serious. Iowa, Illinois, Indiana all grow more corn than Nebraska. Soybeans rotate with corn in the East and East Central Nebraska to West border of the state are Sandhills covered in grass and is ranching country. Western Nebraska is huge in growing Sugar Beets.
