Edwards is no longer the coach of the football program with the decision termed a "mutual parting of the ways," according to a program spokesperson.

Certainly the loss to EMU was the nail in the coffin, but with all the investigations and the amount of 'potential' they have had only to finish at, or just above .500, really shows that this was a long time coming.
