I only ranked Michigan that high because they are blowing out the teams they should. They aren't losing to these much lower tiered teams like some other teams are. I totally agree though with your argument though. Either Michigan will continue on this winning path (somewhat) when facing tougher teams, or they fall flat because they are nowhere near being battle tested. That battle tested part is a real thing. I have seen it happen many times. A team is 5-0 and played garbage teams, then they face a 2-3 team that has played some real competition... and BAM! that 5-0 team loses 30-14 to the 2-3 team.
 
I realized that I left Utah out of my poll... oh well. I think they belong but I don't know who else to kick out.

Utah and Washington State could both be in it. I may add them once I see what happens next week.

It's one thing to play a mid major (or even FCS) that is going to finish in the top end of their division or conference. Michigan is playing teams that can't even compete at the level they are currently at. A upper level mid major like app state would also blow out all 3 teams Michigan faced

I take the opposite approach and use the rankings here to figure out who the people are whose opinions I can discount. Like those who rank someone who just lost a head to head over the team that beat them.

I think there are exceptions to the H2H argument though. In preseason, I did have Appalachian State ranked and Texas A&M not. I now have Texas A&M ranked and Appalachian State not even though ASU won H2H. I also have TAMU above UNC, who beat Appalachian State.

I also expect App State to lose this week to James Madison.

I'd have no issue with App St being ranked higher than A&M, even if you apply the "play 10x" test.

First thing, when it come to these pic'em things, I type'em up, then forget to post'em. That's what happened here. I was going to ask @iowajerms if he wanted to make a "Members bet"(?) in the bookie thread. Thought I had posted it, then went to the sportsbook to see if I knew how to set up this bet. Think I figured it out, but when I went back I saw that I didn't even type the message but posted it anyway. And the time limit to edit had passed, so.....effe it.
It ain't easy being older!
