Honestly, I think he and McIntosh really do need to move out of Alvarez' shadow. How they do that is beyond me, but at some point they're going to need to or the program will continue a slow decline. Part of that is on the players, they just don't seem to have real solid leaders and ass kickers, and really haven't since the last Watt moved on. Whatever, it's been a good ride since the early 90's, and who knows maybe they can keep being the tallest midget in the West...

I will add that I don't like firing coaches that are doing fine. That usually signals a very fast descent into oblivion. I've seen that in the 70s and 80s and don't really want to go back there. Plus, believe it or not, the years of Chryst and Beilema have been as good as Alvarez as coach...so can't really complain...besides, I'm not going to pony up and be a deep pocket booster.
