I occasionally go through there, but there are generally better options for me on American. Plus, I’ve got status on American, so it makes for a better overall experience. I like having an assigned seat.

we have the Southwest CC and spend so much that we get the companion pass every year
I’ve got the American credit card. That’s mostly why I have status with them as well.

Shit, I can't even remember the last time I did that. I'm usually team Southwest but been doing United more because of the whole hub city thing and I've actually found them to be pretty good.

Southwest has nonstop flights to most of the places I like to go now. Being able to go nonstop is the best thing. And it's usually the cheapest option as well.
Consider yourself lucky. My issues have been minor. But I've heard some horror stories about others.
