Hey we played our big OOC game against *checks notes* future conference opponent Arizona State and yeah they fired their coach a week later because yeah.

Hey we got rape State on the road this weekend so time to put up or shut up.

yeah and i don't get why he is telling NC State to play someone. NCSU took care of Texas Tech pretty easily. The same TTU that just took out Texas. Probably a better win than what most teams ranked ahead of State have

@ Okie Jr 34 Arizona St 17

E. Michigan 30 @ Arizona St 21

Buffalo 50 @ E. Michigan 31
I was going to ask if that was your 3 game parlay, but with E. Michigan listed twice, I guess not.

Thumbs up and middle fingers appropriately handed out :beer2:

jenna coleman thank you GIF

Not your fault but that isn't a big game due to the problems the program was facing. In some years, you would be correct though. Don't worry, Oklahoma State has some games upcoming that are bigger games.

It is Texas Tech. With the exception of a couple of seasons with Mike Leach, they tend to be a perennial 6-6 type team in their entire program's history. They are basically like Missouri or South Carolina in the SEC.

I didn't even realize they played, that is how irrelevant it was but noted. They play Clemson this week so they definitely won't have a comment after that week and if they win, I would jump them into top ten.

As for Texas comment, that is their MO. They play teams like Oklahoma tough but then lose to Kansas. It definitely seems to be a cultural issue with getting up for Big12 games against lesser opponents.

They ain't as good as they were last year IMO. But, you guys probably aren't either. I'm still taking you guys to win a close one.

IMO, Oklahoma State is the best Big12 team but we will see as the season goes on (this is why I have them in my top ten).

Also rankings don't mean much until November anyways. That is when your ranking starts to matter. For example, if Tennessee is in top 10 in November, I will be ecstatic. Right now it is nothing more than a bullseye.

They may be. But they haven't played anyone yet. That close out of Central Michigan was ugly. They had them routed. They were through but they weren't finished.

That said, I don't think there is going to be very much separation between the top and the bottom of the conference. They don't have any "stand out" teams and they don't have any real "dogs" this year either. TCU may be the worst team but they aren't awful. All that means they won't get a CFP invite unless a team goes undefeated. That's take a lot of breaks going one team's way.

Kentucky's FBS opponents are a combined 5-7.
USCs best win is against Oregon State.
Michigan's best win is against Maryland.

you're going to have to do better than that, buddy

As stated, we will find out about NC State but the teams listed above have played more primetime games and looked good doing it. UK's win @ Florida is better than a home win over Texas Tech; USC's win @ Oregon State is better than either UK or NC State's win; Michigan hasn't done much so you are correct there but they have games upcoming and they made playoffs last year.

Programs like NC State need to actual win Championships first or get big wins if they want to climb high in the rankings. Win @ Clemson this Saturday and NC State is deserving of a top ten ranking.

To add more, even though I said play someone, both Oklahoma State and NC State are playing someone this week so we will definitely see if both deserve their ranking.

this is the dumbest post in message board history.

USC and UK have played trash teams. Nobody should care how they looked, nor what time (LOL) the game was played.

and uh, you're putting a lot of faith in an Oregon State team that only beat Fresno State by three points and went 7-6 last year. Texas Tech looks like a much better win right now. Sorry.

What championships have Kentucky and USC won recently? I'll wait.

I'm just glad to know that no matter the outcome this weekend, Clemson is a top 10 ten team because they play at night.

Texas Tech was 7-6 last year as well. Texas Tech hasn't beaten anyone this year except for that OT win over Texas. Oregon State beat both Fresno State and Boise State.

What Championships has USC won? Frankly they have almost as many AP National Titles than the entire ACC Combined. they won Pac12 in 2016. They have been down but they got a premier coach (that schooled Texas Tech every year) and some very good transfers. Sorry, I consider USC's win @ Oregon State far better than NC State's win over Texas Tech. At the very least, let's assume all records/conferences are equal (they are not). USC beat a 7-6 team on the road while NC State beat one at home. That alone is a trump card.

As for Kentucky, they have 2 10-win seasons in the SEC the last 5 years and yes winning @ Florida (even when Florida is down) is a bigger win than a home victory by NC State over Texas Tech.

As stated, NC State has their chance to win a road game for first time this season this Saturday. I will be surprised if they are not beat by 2 TDs. They barely beat a mediocre East Carolina team (survived 21-20).

ACC schools not named Clemson (and FSU in distant past) don't have a great track record lately. MTSU just ran one of your preseason ranked teams out of their own stadium last Saturday.
