Florida-Tennessee another take - The Florida Gators and AR

Damn, why you sucking Gator dick?

I watched enough highlights,
and have watched the previous 3 games in their entirety. He is what he is. A QB that will wow you from time to time, but is inconsistent throwing and will run too often. He's injured now, evidently, so the run is taken away from him.

My posts aren't useless, even if they appear to trigger you. And the statistics I gave was from all 4 games. Keep up hillbilly ... I thought you would have gotten better education at UT or did you go to UT Martin?

So talking intellectually about another team and about their players is "sucking on their dick" in your logic? So why even have a football discussion board?

Also, "watched highlights." You didn't watch the game I see but you are smarting than experts that attended the game and watched it from opening kickoff to completion.

I am smarter than the experts about Richardson. I was right about Emory Jones and the experts had him as a first rounder. Hint: the "experts" don't know nearly as much as you think they do, and what they say is designed to draw eyeballs to games. I suppose you think Stephen A Smith is some "expert" on sports. He's an entertainer. I am way closer to what Richardson is as a QB that the "experts." As I said, if you could read, I watched the first 3 games UF played. I watch highlights of the UTjr game.

As for being a one-trick pony, whatever that means, I've forgotten more about CFB than you know. You are the one that went on the offensive in this thread. If you can't handle it, shut the fuck up, to turn a phrase.

Feleipe Franks circa 2017 is the worst college QB I’ve ever seen. I’d take that over anything I’ve seen from Richardson

Did you not see Jeremy Johnson?

Yeah, I was going to to say Jeremy Johnson, as well.

he went to the same High School my Dad went to in Montgomery, so I wanted to see how good he was.

Turns out, he was not good at all.

The only item that I agreed with you on in all of your posts in this thread was Tennessee's secondary not being good. Even then, the throws that AR made (regardless of the secondary) were pretty spot on and very difficult to make. He was also very accurate in that game. It is the difference between someone who just looks at stats and someone that actually watched the game. I can tell by your posting that you have never really played football at any level or any competitive sport. You just use math and statistics from last year.

Also Josh Pate's show is generally not about "entertainment" but about actual sports facts. Perhaps he can be wrong but he often is right more than he is wrong and he was at the game Saturday and watched it from the sidelines. He also has connections in the sport that only you can drive of. I am sorry, I trust his take more than your posts.

However, the data will resolve itself. Both Florida and Tennessee play Georgia this year so we will see how all three teams progress.

I am using statistics from this year ... I've typed that 3 or 4 times now. Here are the QB ratings through 4 weeks. You should be elated by this - your QB is at the top of the list.

But, no. You are some Gator cuck that is arguing with me about how good Anthony Richardson is after he barely completed half his passes in a game against your team, just because you watched one video from Pate. And then you resort to the childish taunt of "you've never played sports" which is both wrong and irrelevant. He has the worst completion percentage and has thrown the most interceptions. His team is 2-2 and is lucky as hell they aren't 0-4. He's basically at the bottom of ever statistical category there is. But keep on telling me how good he is because Pate said so in a video you happened to watch. SMMFH.

Is this football or math class?

Both myself, Josh Pate in his video, and even @RubinRock all responded to this post by talking about the QB is turning a quarter in the current game against Tennessee. That means past statistics from past games don't mean jack. Perhaps he pulled a Jarrett Guarantano and had a one-game blimp, we will see.

Math and football don't work, if they did, you would see very different results.

I am not sure what your fantasy is with sucking people's penises. You may want to check on that.

LOL, okay, let's ignore statistics because you and Pate say otherwise.

Math and football don't work - what an idiot.

While I do think he's overrated, using "lifetime" stats for a sophomore with essentially one season's worth of games under his belt is pretty funny. We've seen plenty of guys improve drastically at the qb spot as their careers have gone on.
I mean yes and no. Sure QBs can improve. I've never said that he couldn't. What I did say is that would be the exception. Look at Rattler ... everyone was saying he's going to better this year. He's not. He is what he is.

Let me ask you a question ... AR15 played a lot last year. Started against UGA. He played meaningful snaps. This isn't a guy who was brought in for clean-up duty only. He actually had better stats last year. You could argue he had evolved. That's not what you would expect for a guy who took no. 1 snaps all spring and fall. At some point you have to realize that he is what he is. A very good athlete, but a meh QB. He isn't accurate and QBs don't typically all the sudden get more accurate. He's made a bunch of terrible throws ... those he might clean up as the game slows down for him. But at the end of the day, he's always been - high school and now college - a great athlete, just not a great passer.

What's funny is that I've been following him since high school. He was one of the players that was going to be on QB1 Friday Nights, but they canceled it due to COVID. That intrigued me and I started following him. His stats were very similar to what he is doing now. There is a reason Mullen didn't start him last year.

He really didn't play that much last year tho. It was mostly Jones. Richardson came in at times, and not just mop up duty, but only in 7 games. 64 passes total. He doesn't truly have a full season worth of games under him yet. Now, do I think he's going to turn into an elite qb? No. But he can definitely improve.

I think its just silly to take a season worth of games (and not even starting most of that) and say that's what a qb will be for his full tenure. I don't think that would make him the exception at all. Every season we have several qbs that make major improvements.

Did you actually watch the game? Dumbass statistics from week 4 are about as useless as your posts?

I agree we are not great on defense but watch the actually throws by Anthony Richardson. I won't say anything else. Let's see how they do against Georgia's secondary.
I'd think as a Tennessee Fan you would see Richardson for what he is. You have a slower version of him as your backup. Richardson reminds me of a faster, more athletic Joe Milton. Will wow you with a throw only a few CFB QB's can make, but then miss a half dozen throws he should make in his sleep. Both have NFL bodies, both have NFL arms.

Accuracy simply isn't something you coach up, Some QB's have the touch and accuracy, some can have all the talent in the world, but they do not.

Richardson completed 53% of his high school passes. Joe Milton completed 48% of his high school passes. Every once in a great while you will have a QB where it finally starts to click, like Josh Allen, but the overwhelming majority the accuracy is simply never going to be there.

I can see that. Good post and not full of nonsense. Thank you for adult response.

Against Tennessee, he wasn't missing. Did he turn a corner? We will have to see. Sometimes players turn the corner and sometimes they don't. I was very impressed by him in that game and by the fight of Florida in general. I had not seen that from Florida previous to Tennessee game or last year.

A QB that can make a long pass completion to a covered receiver on 4th down is something to watch out for. Then again, Jarrett Guarantano would show up for 2-3 games a year and look like a world beater but then would collapse in other games as well.

I haven't seen Milton in prime time yet so fair enough. However, all the Vols insiders are saying he looks different. His throws are more on, he is learning the system better, etc. I am just going off what coaches, insiders, etc. are saying. We won't know until he is actually in a game and I hope he isn't because I love seeing Hooker play and he is a proven commodity.

Thanks... this is the kind of discussion that I was looking for in this thread.

Some of the throws that QB's like Richardson, like Milton, etc. can make, 95% of the QB's in CFB can't. It is why teams give them such long ropes. They have the things you can't teach -- Size and arm strength.

These QBs will also have games where they look like the best QB on the planet. The elite QB's are all about consistency though. That is what Milton definitely lacks. I've only seen two games with Richardson, but he to be similar, but much more talented than Milton.

I will also warn you now -- NEVER believe the "insiders". Joe Milton was the next Cam Newton, but with a stronger arm, if you listened to the Michigan "insiders". Milton is amazing at throws where it is under 10 yards and he can fire the ball. It is why his first start against Minnesota -- he looked amazing. The 2nd half of the MSU game -- they started taking the underneath throws away and everyone simply mimicked that going forward. He was HORRENDOUS the rest of the season until they pulled him. If you him throw downfield or use any type of touch -- he is terrible and any quality defense that can mix up coverage really messes him up. Go watch Milton's highlights against Wisconsin -- he was completely lost.

Richardson has that elite speed to go with the NFL size and arm, so he will be given every chance possible. Milton doesn't have that speed. That is what separates the two of them.

Sounds a lot like our experience with Jarrett Guarantano. A bad QB can really set your program back and a good QB can really propel you forward.

No doubt. Every Michigan fan on the planet wanted Milton to be that guy for us. He got worse every game though. Now we hope JJ McCarthy can be that guy.
