3 SEC EAST teams in the Top 10

That was bad. I thought Oklahoma State should have gone to that game.

With extended playoffs, this may only get worse for the other leagues.

Why?...for getting run out of the building by a shitty Iowa State team.

To me it is a NATIONAL title so teams from other parts of the nation should be playing in it to prove Alabama/LSU are the best. Same reason I was happy it was Florida in 2006 instead of Michigan-Ohio State rematch.

Kinda defeats the whole purpose of the BCS...two best teams...

Run out of the building? They lost in double overtime the week of a crazy tragedy on campus. Come on, man

How do you know we got the two best teams when no one from the Midwest, Great Plains, West Coasts was included? Oklahoma State was 12-1 and Big12 Champion.

I remember this, and there were some people thinking that they should postpone the game, right?

My memory is toast, as I don't remember what the tragedy was...was it like a plane wreck for one of the OSU teams?

Plane crash, yes

Iowa State lost to every other ranked team they played by a combined 200 points.

It's not like Iowa State was the only close game OK State played that year.

Calling it anything but a shit loss is putting lipstick on the pig.

The closest game Alabama had outside LSU was a 16 point win over a 9-4 Penn State team in Happy Valley.

Only 4 missed field goals in a game we dominated even made this an issue.

If you think Oklahoma State was better than either of those teams, I don't know what to tell you. Just look at the NFL talent in that BCS game...then on the other side you have Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon...lol..

Ok. But Oklahoma State had better metrics on their season despite the loss to Iowa State. That's why the computers had them ranked higher. It was the name Bama and human voters that put them there

And that is why the computers got kicked to the curb because all wins are not created equal.

They didn't have better wins or more dominant wins.
