Not sure you'd really want this -- Didn't you lose to Purdue last year, when they had their all-american WR and all-american DE sit out the bowl game?

Teams have 4 weeks of tape to see what it was we did to kick Oregon's ass. My main complaint last night was (1) the OL didn't play well (credit to Mizzou's DL, too), and our OC, who I love, didn't seem to adjust to what they were doing.

I'd also point out that when you are no. 1, you get every team's best shot to knock off no. 1. Their fans were jazzed, night game, and their team played inspired ball. We had 2 turn-overs and couldn't score TDs from the red zone. Have to fix those things.

Well yeah, obviously the top tier would get the most money. But it’d give bottom tiers a chance to move up. But the big guys would never agree to it so it’s just a pipe dream.

Actually last year wouldn't have been our worse year. 2019 was a definite kick Tennessee out of SEC year.

For example:
Let's just say that Nebraska will really suck someday, and, Boise State puts together a good year or two.
Boise state would never be elevated above Nebraska simply because Nebraska makes more money.

No Georgia is way better but they gamble on their own games & fix their games cause Georgia is a dirty program that should be shut down.

I know there are much worse than the Purdue game for Tennessee in year's past, but if you kicked team's out for losing against a team they should have walked all over -- Tennessee wouldn't be in the SEC this year and they obviously are a much different team this year.

Mizzou held KSU to 334 yards of total offense....defense even forced 3 straight FG's after Mizzou Qb's threw like 4 straight INT's. KSU scored some garbage points at the end of the game. Mizzou Qb's missed on 3 easy TD's, 2 of them were picked because they were so under thrown. KSU is a decent team.....they are not better than Georgia, who still put up like 480 yards of offense last night (helped by some blatant holding by their LT and bad 4th Qtr officiating).

Yeah, I guess main point of this thread is don't look at these OOC losses too heavily. I mean Ohio State in 2014 won the National Title but lost at home to a pretty mediocre Virginia Tech team. That didn't mean Virginia Tech would win the B1G and was a National Title contender.

Don’t judge teams by their best or worst games. Look at the entire slate of games

To be fair, I only referenced regular season OOC games and ones were they were embarrassed (lost by multiple scores). We barely lost a bowl game to a team that was higher in B1G standings and had better record than Tennessee.

I'd be embarrassed if i lost to Purdue once you remove their All-American WR who carried their offense and their All-American DE who anchored their defense. Purdue doesn't just plug in the next elite recruit to take over. Taking those guys away from Purdue make them a 3 or 4 win team.

So the higher in the standings, better record argument means very little when you remove those two guys from Purdue.
