I'm team Rhaenyra but all these freaking kids can die as they are all annoying.

Unfortunately, Alicent has (Aemond).

And for the record, Daemon Targaryen is the best character on all of television. Yes, he has surpassed Rip Wheeler.
 
Currently watching The Crown besides this and based on the behaviors of those in both series, the only difference between them is The Crown doesn't have dragons.

Kid who lost his eye is a bit of a bad ass.


That was a very eventful episode. Questionable move to pretty much have the valerians turn on you. But again I guess they hold the only offspring of the head of the house even if they are just girls.
 
Thought the dragon Riders couldn't be hurt by heat?
Or is it just Targaryen's that are heat resistant?

I’m also watching the Crown at the moment, and this comment is absolutely fucking spot on.

It is a super-rare trait. Remember, Daeny’s brother was not heat resistant (he burned to death from the golden crown).

yeah but also I thought not all Targaryen's rode dragons. So I kinda just figured those with those traits to connect with the dragon or the egg or however that works.

I know you already saw this, but I'll just repost what I wrote on the other site for the sake of anyone else who is curious:

Some Targaryens are mildly resistant to heat, but no Targaryens are completely immune to heat and fire except Daenerys, who is unique/special in being completely immune.

For example, in the original series:

- in season 1 episode 6, molten gold melts the face of Viserys, Dany's brother
- in season 1 episode 8, Jon burns/injures his hand using fire to fight a wight

I would have lost the over/under on how many episodes Vizzy T makes it through. I keep thinking the next episode is surely where he eats shit, but our boy just loses appendages and keeps on ticking. I hope at the end of the series he's just a talking head in a jar like Futurama and is the last one alive.

This whole saga kinda only starts with his death tho. I'm not sure how many episodes are in the season, but at this pace, we are in store for at least a 2nd season.

Show is planned to be a minimum of 3 seasons. I'm enjoying it so much, I hope it is more than that.

Ok, that makes sense. For whatever reason, i went in thinking this was a 1-and-done show. Multiple seasons to fully flesh out the story would be great.
S1 will be similar to the original S1 of GoT then. Lots of place setting and by the end we have all the chess pieces in place for big action.

Same, I've been expecting him to die every new episode since about the 3rd episode or whenever it was that they went on the deer hunt. At this point I'd assume that he will die in the 9th or final episode to setup the second season.

Actually, I’m so leery of shows that don’t know how to stick the landing when it’s time to that 3 seasons sounds perfectly right to me. Set the table in season 1. Shit hits the fan season 2. Resolution of it all season 3.

I guess 4 seasons could work too, but certainly no more than that. Very few shows in history have had the same horsepower by the 5th season.
