EPL 2022/2023

Scraped a point off it. Not great, but still have that offense. Firmino. Glad they didn't sell him. Good depth piece still.
Yeah, a point feels lucky even after being up 3-2. BH probably should have been up more then 2 early on. Firmino needs pieces around him to succeed. But he has been better and adds some depth you are right.

I wish Klopp would have started Diaz instead of Carvalho but maybe it was a rest thing. We keep distancing ourself from the top 4.

Both Haaland and Foden are 1 away each from a hat trick.

Pray for United. On second thought nah, fuckemm!
Fuck em!

Speaking of Haaland, I feel sorry for the other EPL teams. Have to deal with that twice a year. Haaland never beat Bayern ever in the Bundesliga, Pokal, or Super Cup. He scored a few times, but overall was kept in check. Of course Dortmund did not have the other pieces City has. That is what makes this a scary proposition for every other EPL team. You are stuck with this for a number of years now. Bayern they will only have to deal with it if they come across each other UCL knockouts. In 2 games there, anything can happen.

Haaland is unstoppable, the league is already over. I guess it probably was over before it started.
Spurs got thumped by Arsenal, though that wasn't super surprising. We haven't won there in 10 years. Without that super weak straight red, i think they would have had a shot at pulling a draw out of there. But oh well, at the end of the day i guess it doesn't matter much. No one catching/keeping up with City.

No early game this AM in EPL. WTf?

If van Dyke retreats back and plays everyone on, can’t get dribble past. #stats

Liverpool only hope now is for 3rd or 4th. 14 point behind Arsenal and 13 City but game in hand. Unless these two fall apart, but I don't see it this year. Arsenal 100% for real. Will Klopp leave after this year? 7 years at Mainz, 7 years at Dortmund, 7 years at Liverpool. :headscratch:

Looks like the referee was sketchy in Liverpool. Blatant handball on Arsenal not called early on. Was the penalty at the end a penalty? Seemed soft. Of course, it was Michael Oliver one of the worse refs in existence. Bayern when we gotten him in past UCLs was bad.

We had sketchy ref in Bayern game yesterday. Jude Bellingham puts a foot into Alphonso Davies face and into the hospital. No card.

Yeah this just isn’t the year. Some new parts but this defense has the same unit and has regressed massively. Arsenal had a ton of space today. I’m not sure they see Europe next season at this stage.

Tough calls today but still that defense was just miserably bad looking so slow. Injuries aren’t helping but every team has injuries. The midfield seems slow to and that counter attack really only involves the front 3/4. In the past it’s been some midfield help too.

Its still early but many concerns. And we still have city twice

I saw someone make the comparison of Spurs team in Poch's final season, just after they lost the UCL final. Looked lethargic, dropping points everywhere, only had 11 points after the first 8 games. LFC: looks lethargic & disinterested, 10 points in first 8 games.

Granted, LFC has a better squad and better coach than Spurs ever had, but there might be something to the thought that Klopp is reaching the end over there...or they could rip off 15 straight wins.

Yeah, it’s been awful. And many of those draws were lucky to be draws. We legitimately should be in a relegation battle. Fulham, Everton and Brighton should have all been losses. You could argue the same with the Newcastle win and the palace draw.

Defense is giving up so much space and we constantly play from behind. This ain’t good.
