My uncle summed up Vanderbilt a couple of decades ago. Their starters play hard for first half or so and then they just get worn out. They don't have depth so typically it turns into a blowout.

However, if they managed to make it a game, it also causes a lot of their late mistakes they have historically done due to players being tired.

Yeah, they just don't have the conditioning nor the depth. And books to check out of the library before it closes

This is why teams like Auburn, Florida, and LSU are typically good wins. Even when they are "bad", you know they got the players and depth, they just haven't put it together. It is also why I sometimes don't trust the Miss State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, etc. of the world. Even when they are very good, they typically don't have the depth.

Tennessee has had that problem at times although there have been literal years were we don't have the players. Even this year, I feel like we don't have the players on defense to be elite with that unit. They play good enough to get us wins.

We may have enough players to beat Alabama Saturday but we will eventually run into a wall at some point.

and honestly, i have zero interest in watching Pac games that involve UCLA and USC
