Second trip to Knoxville. I haven't been hyped for a game like this in awhile. I feel like we have nothing to really lose coming into this game because Alabama is Alabama, the cream of the crop. However, for once, Tennessee looks like one of the most difficult teams on their schedule.

It is kind of sad, because this year shows what this rivalry used to be like historically.

Man, if Bama loses this one, my adopted hometown will be insufferable.

You guys have beaten us 15 straight years and won multiple National Titles with the greatest coach ever. Even if we win, our trash talk, in the scheme of things, will be pretty hollow.

As I stated to a few LSU fans, I don't think we can trash talk anyone after our 15 years or so of ineptitude.

Hey good for the Vols, it's a program that should be quality year after year

To be fair, I have tempered my expectations for Tennessee as a Vols fan. In reality, we are in the same division as Florida and Georgia who sit in states with far more people, bigger markets, and have better recruits available to them. This and Saban being at Alabama as well as the rise of LSU in the 2000s really sank the Tennessee program. Tennessee is a lot like an Oklahoma or Nebraska in that we never really should have been as good as we were from a program perspective because we are not really in a recruiting hot bed.

We finally got a good coach, good QB, and some of the programs that are in front of us are struggling right now. This has helped our rise.

Our losing streaks come up a lot versus these teams but in all honesty, these teams typically just have more talent than Tennessee on their roster year in and year out. Perhaps Heupel and NIL are changing that.

when somebody gives you or your team a compliment, you take it and say thank you

Good point :).

On Vol Nation, they call it battered Vol syndrome.

I know we have those idiot fans at Tennessee that just talk trash all of the time with unrealistic expectations and I don't want to be one of those fans. Granted, I think everyone school has those fans.

Good to see this as a top 10 matchup. Should be a good game, hopefully Bryce plays.

Damn, I may have to move though if Tennessee wins

Does anyone really expect Tennessee to hang with Bama?
