TV Series Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

I thought it was fun.

And VERY original. We keep saying Hollywood sucks because it isn’t original. Well, Bright was original.

it wasn't a favorite of mine but it didn't suck. It was a neat twist of combining LOTR stuff with normal life.

There's plenty of urban fantasy like Bright out there in novels that are better than that.

I don't think you can turn GoT into an urban fantasy story...

What spinoff was canned after the first pilot??

One with Naomi Watts that would have shown the origin of white walkers and the wall being built and all of that. They shot a pilot and apparenoit was so bad that HBO bailed on going any further.

How is this show? Rank on a game of Thrones season 1-8...

Sad.

It's very good. Pretty different to GoT. Feels smaller in scope in that it is really just focusing on one plot line. That said there are large big things happening in many episodes and the pacing is very fast given all of the time jumps and major events that occur.

Most similar to the final two seasons of the show but the quality episode to episode is much higher. Doesn't really have the "well that just didn't really make sense" aspect that plagued a lot of character decisions and actions in those final two GoT seasons.

That was a sad episode.

The inevitable fight between dameon and that badass one eyed kid will be great.

I don’t know. I liked that episode. I get the sense there isn’t enough action there for some. I get it. Even GoT had some episodes that were heavy on political intrigue and light on action. This just seems the same type of show.

Question now is….do they stick with the real shocker being in the penultimate episode of the season? What shit hits the fan next week?

I mean…I enjoyed this episode, but now it’s time for some action.

the people who are bored are the people who enjoy Fast and the Furious movies.

I enjoyed the last episode a lot. You could see the Targarian families attempting to come together while the young hothead children are losing their cool, which makes sense since they have basically been put in competition with each other since they were kids...and the one kid had his eye sliced out.

you know the Valerian line ends, so those two little girls are doomed...

Compared to Rings of Power this show is the fast and the furious.
the show started off hot with Daemon going out and killing citizens/criminals.

I am still trying to figure out how Sir Criston doesn't get older...he and Daemon look to be the same age. as when the show started.
