Champions League 2022/2023

Well well well.. Inter up on Barcelona. If they hold on, could get interesting this Group.
Barca's next UCL match is a must win or they're going to drop to the EL, which might be a new tradition for them.

Good news for Barca is they still have Bayern and Inter at home. Bad news for Inter they still have Bayern and Barca on the road.

Bayern 9 points +9 goal differential
Inter 6 points +1 goal differential
Barca 3 points +1 goal differential

If Bayern lights up Plzen again next week that goal differential is going to be problematic for Inter or Barca.

Speaking of Bundesliga and La Liga more: Brugge beats Atletico Madrid and Frankfurt tied Spurs. Leverkusen let Bundesliga down today. Tomorrow Dortmund and Leipzig will too probably let the Bundesliga down. More likely Dortmund against a bad Sevilla.

Bobby Lew totally stifled today too. Another big game, another no show outing. Brings back memories of the big Bayern UCL games when he wiffed repeatedly.

Maybe Leipzig will be able to beat Celtic.

LFC with a nice win over Rangers for a needed 3 points. Rangers never really threatened.

Shocked Napoli smashed Ajax in Amsterdam. If they can do that in Italy and LFC grabs another 3 from rangers in Glasgow, LFC would just need 1 point from their last two to advance. Problem will be Napoli may be too far along to catch and being in group 2 ain’t looking the best for knockout stage.

Sidenote, FUCK YOU PSG for fucking me on my parlay today.

PSG is like the current Barcelona. When they face better competition they can be stiffled. Benfica and Inter Milan well played. PSG could really use a striker...not sure Barcelona's problem.

Liverpool I heard Arnold was going to be benched, but glad they played him. I guess Klopp went with a 4-2-3-1. Henderson and Thiago then Jota Diaz Salah and Nunez lone player up front. Let's see if this works in next EPL game if he uses it again. Need to get Nunez going and involved again.

Napoli has been lighting up UCL. Probably the most in form team.

English bookies have Man City at 2 to 1 to win UCL. A bit early for that lol.

Yeah not sure PSG doesn’t have one in one of their big 3. Messi had a curling beauty today.

I think Klopp knows he needs him (TAA) as there isn’t a replacement of his quality there. And it hasn’t been just him, Van Dijk has been off and so has Matip when he wasn’t hurt.

Nunez is young, I would use caution and maybe sub him in for now but definitely start the front 3 of Diaz, Jota and Salah. Use Bobby for depth. Goals haven’t been a huge issue (they have been somewhat) but it’s more the defense that’s been horrid this year. Next game is at the Emirates Sunday. I’m not looking forward to that attacking frenzy.

Napoli has been killing it. They should easily win the group.

Always too early to say City will win the UCL until they are holding the trophy lol.

Spurs are still in an OK spot in their group. They are at home in 2 of their remaining 3 matches, and should be favored to get 3 points in each of those games.

Though they had a disappointing 0-0 result in Frankfurt, they did create a number of good chances in the first half. Just couldn't convert. On a different day, they might have put away 2-3 goals and come away with a relatively easy win. I can only think of 1 or 2 good chances the opposition created.

Frankfurt is a pretty good team, so that result did not surprise me.

Difficult place to play for sure. Not the ideal result for Spurs, but picking up points on the road and winning at home will always get you through to the next round. That has to be the goal now.

Frankfurt started the season like crap but have really picked it up. Reigning Europa League champs. A draw in Frankfurt is a good result. Ask Barcelona what bad result is on the road lol.

Is there more of a baby in European Football than this guy now? You play in the soft French League. We should be seeing Haaland numbers maybe double his in that League. And they gave you the keys to the team. Of course, it is Neymar. Next season Neymar will still be there and Mbappe at Real Madrid and Messi at Barcelona again lol.

Juventus wtf and LOL!!!! Not even Europa maybe lol.

City ties Copenhagen down a man. And No Haaland even off the bench. A Pep UCL special!

He’s such a diva. He makes Neymar not look like the asshole he is, which is quite the feat.

One asshole diva on a team is bad enough but two. No wonder Messi wants out too.

Neuer injured. We get Ulreich today and probably Sunday too

Also, Davies, De Ligt, and Gnabry out with injuries too. Musiala out with COVID.
