Let's get it started here...

Reporting that Bryce Young is on track to play in the game.

We will see. I am not sure what it will look like if he plays because he still hasn't had full snaps in practice. Remember, Saban loves to create smoke before games. I am still 50/50 on it. I am also wondering if he will even be 100% if he plays. In some ways, a less than 100% Bryce Young might be a better option for us.

EDIT: Curious, how do you think Michigan will do against Penn State. We are not the only team in a big matchup this weekend.

@NewPhoneWhoDis

Actually probably more 60/40 now on Bryce Young playing. I would probably be a little more surprised if I did not see him at some point in the game.

Alabama is a HUGE Vegas favorite right now. Over two score favorite. Vegas really likes the Tide.

Win or lose this game, we are getting a lot of great publicity this season that will only help recruiting.

If Penn State brings it, I feel Michigan might have some troubles but still pulls the W. If Michigan starts out slow, Penn State will take the win. I would not bet this game. Michigan isn’t really that battle tested. I haven’t seen much of Penny State games this season. Both undefeated, I can’t wait.

I see that one and USC @ Utah as both two other Titanic games this weekend. Some other potentially interesting matchups floating out there as well if underdogs show up (such as Clemson @ FSU).

NC State @ Syracuse is probably not a playoff watch game but is another fun one as well.

Roll Tide!

Hoping for a good game. But I have my doubts about BOB coming up with a half decent game plan and exploiting matchups whether Bryce plays or not.

Don’t forget TCU and Okie State. Both undefeated. I think. I saw a couple of sites saying Utah wins against Trojans.

I am leaning Utah in a close one as well. If it was at the Coliseum, I would have gone with USC. I think USC is for real but Utah is a tough place to win at.

I can't imagine why, honestly. I don't bet, but if I did I would always back my team. But I would NOT take that bet

As I stated in other thread, there is a scenario were we don't hold up on line of scrimmage and it turns into 2016 deux. I really hope that doesn't happen. This team feels very different than 2016.

People keep talking about Bryce Young but I think the real battle will be along the line. If Tennessee holds up on both sides (don't even need to win, just play even), I think we can turn the game into a shoot-out which may favor Tennessee.

Very true. It could just be a way to keep Tennessee guessing, as the two quarterbacks are polar opposites of each other. That said -- no football player is 100% after a season starts. If Bryce Young is even 75% -- it is way better than Milroe.

With the Michigan/PSU game -- I'm still not sold on Michigan. Our defense is playing well, but IMO, it is more about who they've played than anything else. If we are able to pressure Clifford and get multiple sacks, like we've done in every game -- I will start to believe a little more. If we win will come down to McCarthy -- he has all the talent in the world, but the team isn't using his legs as a weapon because we don't have a backup QB right now. So he doesn't run much.

If I had to wager on it -- I think UM wins by 10. As much as I'm not sold on Michigan as one of the top teams -- I'm even less sold on PSU being a top 10 team.

If Alabama can establish a run game and then use play action then that gives them their best chance. Tennessee's weakness is their secondary.

However, BOB would rather throw the ball 3 times in side the 5 yard line then run so UTK may get their first win against Bama in a long time.

My take is I got Michigan as well but closer game. I think Penn State is a good team, probably not top 10 and more like top 15 as you state.

B1G has had some disappointing teams this year: Michigan State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin for example. Auburn and LSU have been disappointing in the SEC but that was kind of expected coming into the season. Texas A&M is of course the main disappointment and Arkansas seems to be trending down. B1G really isn't that deep outside of Michigan and Ohio State. I think Purdue, Illinois, and Minnesota may have good teams but we will see. Iowa plays a lot like Texas A&M, great defense but terrible offense which has led to a lot of inconsistency.

We’re not in standard time, dunce. :eyebrows:

To add to the Oklahoma State comment, they have played Baylor, Texas Tech, and now TCU in a row. All three, at least at the time, looked like pivotal matchups for their conference title hopes.

Oklahoma State was my preseason favorite to win Big12, let's see if they hold up. You're right, I missed that one.
