ESPN FPI (Now includes all P5 conferences)

And that’s not relevant in the slightest. We are talking about 2020 not 2017-2019. And we will be talking about one team, not the entire conference. And if it’s Oregon, they would have won their most recent game against a ranked OOC team

An 8-1 Ohio State vs a 7-0 Oregon is not a shoo-in for Oregon. If you don't think only playing two ranked teams out of conference in the last 4 years and going 1-1 against those teams while you conference managed to cobble together 4 wins total including bowl games would be a factor, well then, you're just dumb.

they are a flash in a pan sir... what happens once he leaves back to his mama's home in Bama? They keep rolling?

If Texas goes dormant again this decade than I'll concede.. Hopefully we pull a Bama after a decade of hardship.

Don't you have to get out of dormancy to go dormant again. You haven't had less than 4 losses in a season since 2009.

Washington State's bowl game in 2018 won't impact the CFP this year. If Ohio State goes 8-1 and loses to Wisconsin and your argument is Oregon wouldn't be capable of beating Wisconsin, that's a pretty bad argument. Especially when you realize it's centered around how other teams did vs. random schools and not Oregon.

My argument would be that the Pac-12 is not a competitive league when compared with other conferences and hasn't been for some time. Therefore, their wins should be appropriately discounted. Going 8-1 in the B1G is a harder task than going 7-0 in the Pac-12, period. The last win over a top 5 OOC team by a Pac-12 team was when you guys beat Florida State in the playoffs...6 years ago. The last win by a Pac-12 team over a top 5 OOC opponent in the regular season is who knows?

You can rant until you are blue in the face, that's fine with me. Here's the thing. We saw the PAC 12 Champ play the Big Ten runner up last year and the PAC 12 champ won. I'll deal with what actually happened, not your "argument".

Exactly...the Pac-12 CHAMP beat the "RUNNER-UP" of the B1G by a point in their bowl game. Wisconsin also didn't make the playoffs...and got crushed by the team from their league that did. That's hardly an argument for including Oregon.

Ok so why are we talking about the loser of the Big Ten getting in? Big Ten and PAC 12 are probably going to have to run the table to get in the playoffs.

I'm not going to keep arguing about what hypothetically might happen until they actually play a game.
