Short answer: KU Athletics has been very cagey for a long time going back to at least when I was in school. I don't know if that comes from up top but the reporting on KU athletics has been choppy for a hot minute. There was a big controversy over Remy Martin's injury due to the sketchy reporting of it. Needs to change. The reporting hasn't been good candidly as well on its own merits.

FWIW, I don't think Jalon's season is done. I do think there is a "source" shooting bad info at people. This is why you go through MULTIPLE sources before hitting that tweet button if you have real actual access to sources. Because sources, being human beings, can do and believe silly things without all the facts.
