CMAC TO THE NINERS!!!

Would have been more fun to see him in Buffalo. SF is the last team that needs flex back options.

I guess we had room on the IR.
According to Spotrac.com, 9ers are only paying $690,000 for him this year. He was supposed to be making $19.5M/y in CAR for the next three years after this, but somehow the trade pushed that number down to $12M/y.

CAR will be eating a lot of dead cap money with this trade.

Yea, this. It's like we're doubling down on injuries.

So we give up a 2, 3, 4, and a 2024 5 for RB C.McCaffrey. On one hand, I get it—our running game has been lackluster and we’re a running team and CMC is a very good RB that fits perfectly in the SF offense.

OTOH, this looks like a massive mistake. Not only is McCaffrey injury prone (he’ll fit right in in SF), but his salaries in future years are exorbitant AND the trade effectively guts the 2023 draft.

This is something of an "all in" move. The NFC looks weak this year, and considering that Lance looks like a bust, this year might be the team's best chance for a while.

Gotta wonder if anyone in the SF FO can tell Kyle "no."

Carolina is trying to become the new Browns, it’s weird.

Little early to bust Lance imo.
