You can say whatever you want as long as you preface it with "With all due respect."

Never use that phrase to a higher up…

I personally liked using the term "clusterfuck" (without any of the 'all due respect' part) as said by "Gunny" Sgt. Highway in Hearbreak Ridge... :heh:

The "Rebel" in me, I guess... :rolleyes2:

Many of you In here have to deal with idiots in a professional manner...what's your best salutation with a tinge of fuck you but still ok for business? Respectfully just doesn't have the right conveyance for what I want to deliver...
none at all. No greeting or salutation! Here’s the hashtagfax! Now choke on them!

Adopted a friend for Jinks yesterday.

She has not been very friendly to him. lol

Well, he's an intruder in her space. Hahaha.
Take it slowly and she should accept him ... eventually.
He'll have to survive the ritual hazing first, though.

Most importantly ... pictures, please - and what's his name, how old is he???

I'll try to take a couple of pics and download them a little later.

His name is Darbie. He's 3, so he's about a year older than Jinks.

I had been thinking about getting a friend for her for quite a while. I had been looking online and saw Darbie's picture on the local Humane Society website a little over 3 months ago. I have been checking the site a couple of times a week to see changes in what was available and kept coming back to Darbie.

Checked again Friday morning, he was still there (and now their longest term resident), so I decided to go get him.

It's been fun watching them figure it out. He really wants to be friends, but Jinks has been making him earn it. For most of the first couple of days any time he got anywhere near her, she would hiss, growl and chase him away (he spent a good amount of time hiding under the couch with her not letting him out). lol

She started to thaw some yesterday afternoon. She allowed him to get within a couple of feet of her and he was rolling around trying to be sweet as he could be...she would watch for a couple of minutes and then just walk away. She also started following him wherever he went and would just watch him. Then, if he got too close, she'd hiss and growl, but not every time...keeping him on his toes, I guess.

This morning they've actually done a little play chasing. So, he's starting to win her over a bit. She also hasn't hissed at him since yesterday. It's funny watching them because she's a good bit smaller than he is. He weighs a little over 10 lbs. (I don't think she even weighs 5 lbs.) but she has definitely let him know who's in charge.

He also watches tv. lol

If anything can warm the cockles of my cold, cold heart, it's reading something like that.
It's so hard for adult kitties to find a home, so thank you for adopting him.
I swear, they know ... in his own kitty way, he probably watched kitty after kitty get a home, while he didn't, so when you took him home, he was going to do his best to win over everyone!
It sounds like Ms. Jinks is actually warming up pretty quickly, and that's great.
I can't wait to hear tales of their exploits.
Hell, The Tales of Darby and Miss Jinks sounds like a children's book. :)
