It was a far better game in the 2nd half, once all the stupid things were out of the way. Rutgers couldn't keep getting every 50/50 ball they lobbed up in the air.Holy Hell -- good thing I stopped watching. 52-17? We hammered them in the 2nd half.
What was the final score?
How were OSU fans during the half of the NW game? They still were losing to Rutgers at halftime. Michigan fans would be all over that if the roles were reversed

exactlyPissed off. The team was playing like crap.

This dude was basically having a parade that the Bucks struggled at NW and then disappeared as soon as UM was struggling with Rutgers.
windy? As in "inclement weather"?This dude was basically having a parade that the Bucks struggled at NW and then disappeared as soon as UM was struggling with Rutgers.
@PeoplesChicken imagine being down at half to Rutgers and it wasn’t even windy!?

If you are referring to me as having a parade, I was far from the only one celebrating that. And If I were the bandwagon fan I am reported to be, then why would I make critical comments about my team in the game thread?
Here is the difference -- Michigan was dominating the 1st half. We had run for 125 yards, while Rutgers had 1 yard on the ground. We had 14 1st downs to 4 1st downs.Pissed off. The team was playing like crap.

Rutgers blocked a punt for a TD, Michigan missed two FGs. Michigan had almost 250 yards of offense in the 1st half. The game had the same look as the PSU game. Michigan dominated the play on the field, but a turnover for a TD skewed the scoreboard.
In both those games -- UM continue the domination in the 2nd half, outscoring Penn State and Rutgers 63-3.

The other game wasn't indiana -- it was Penn State. They had every bounce in the 1st half against us. We still won 41-17 and outgained them 567- 263 for the game.Dominating on paper but they couldn't finish to dominate on the score board.
As I said in the other thread, Michigan absolutely cannot have a clunker of a 1st half against Ohio State on the scoreboard like they have had in most of their B1G games so far.
It's easy to come out and overwhelm a Rutgers and Indiana in the 2nd half. They don't want to be playing from behind against us.

I agree -- UM doesn't want to be playing from behind against OSU, but I like our offense this year, way more than our offense last year. So we will see how it goes. The ONLY thing UM is missing is the deep threat. If our admins didn't screw the team over and not let Xavier Worthy enroll early over a high school credit -- We would have an unbelievable offense. Instead, Worthy goes to Texas, who they allow him to enroll immediately. Our administration is the football teams biggest enemy.
It’s cute that Ohio State fans just can’t accept the fact that Jim Harbaugh OWNS Ryan Day
The scoreboard does matter, but the statistics are much more telling on how a game played out, unless a team dominates and pulls their starters late in the game.Michigan did struggle in the 1st half with Indiana (tied)
and Maryland (only up 17-13)
and Sparty (only up 13-7)
as well.
You can talk about dominating statistically all you want but the scoreboard is what really matters.
Of course they ended up fairly easily winning those games by dominating the 2nd half. But teams like that tend to get overwhelmed by better teams as the game rolls on more. It's a lot harder to recover from a rough 1st half against upper level teams.
