Wow. TTU scored a TD on blocked FG attempted by ISU. ISU's kicker first failed FG attempt this season.
 
 
Breece Hall with another 100 yard rushing game.
 
ISU played well both offensively and defensively today. That blocked kick didn't really change anything. The Cyclones scored TDs on their next 3 possessions and 31 straight points before TT scored their late 4th Quarter TD. Beautiful day in Ames today. It was nice to be in a stadium!

Purdy doesn't super impress me. He isn't bad, but he isn't amazing either. I am quite impressed with Hall.

You are not the only one who feels that way. Joey Galloway is another one who feels like you do. So, that's some good company. Hall is a stud, and I bet he becomes more and more of a featured back, as time goes by.

IMO, Purdy was excellent yesterday utilizing the tight ends and being free to run a bit. He gets stiffled a bit by the coaching staff against certain teams (UNI last year / @ TCU this year), and he does seem to have a WTF moment even in a good game.

At the end of the day, I am glad they both wear Cardinal and Gold!
 
If ISU keeps this up and wins the conference, think about the irony of it with this not really being one of Campbell's best teams there. It will be a great coaching job. He's had much better teams than this one IMHO.

Of course, there is still a long way to go.
