Hear me out:

Auburn has been rejuvenated due to firing Harsin and hiring the living legend Cadillac Williams as interim head coach and is now a completely different team. The team has gone through hell and back but never stopped fighting so neither am I and I still see a path to the playoff.

- COVID makes a massive comeback on the west coast and the PAC decides it's no longer safe to play football and cancels their season.

- The Russians hit the East coast with their Neptune nuclear torpedo with the radiation fallout taking out all of the ACC.

- Terrorist bomb next week's B1G games and wipes out the upper half of their teams

- The racist past catches up with most of the SEC schools and woke culture cancels those program's records leaving Auburn the lone survivor of the conference

This leaves Auburn, Nebraska, UCF and TCU in the playoff.

You know, it would be nice if a certain SEC fanbase would stop wasting toilet paper all the time.

Not sure why anyone would TP a tree in the first place. But someone might actually need that for, I don’t know, using the bathroom?

UCF vs TCU would be an interesting national title game.

Heck if Auburn plays UCF in the first game, they could call it the Gus Malzahn bowl.

I know right!

A bunch of his teammates from when he played were on campus Saturday to support him and the team was super impressed with that and said they loved how all those guys wanted to put on pads and go fight along with them. It's made an impression on a group of kids that really never got to experience the true Auburn because it hasn't felt like Auburn in over 4 years. The tiger walk was electric, the stadium was electric and it didn't matter that we suck it just mattered that we still had the fire in us.

If you told me they had named him the permanent head coach I wouldn't hate it.

I agree with Josh Pate's take that he may not be 100% ready yet for head coach duties but he definitely needs to have a spot in the coaching staff as a coordinator.

Oh God no to the coordinator. Assistant HC ok, recruiting coordinator ok but OC or DC absolutely no.

He could do the HC and hire good guys under him but he can’t run an offense.
