The story is about him shooting three guys. How is the story about anything BUT a gun that he wasn't supposed to have on campus?

Like everyone else has noticed, the shooter shouldn't have had a gun, had a misdemeanor he didn't report. Someone dropped the ball on this in the UVA school system or Charlottesville police.

ill that is not what I am saying. But 3 college students, were shot and killed by another college student. Then they also happen to be football players. ESPN of all places didn't make so much as a peep

Shit we had shot guns, deer rifles and bows in our apartments. If someone gave you an invite to hunt their land it’s not like you could’ve gone home to fetch them.

I bet between me and my three roommates my senior year we had 5 shotguns, three deer rifles, two 22s, two pellet guns and 2 bows.

We lived in an apartment about a block off campus.

Of course we had firearms. But, like you, we had them in our apartments......never in a dorm. Shotguns, deer rifles, pistols and more but NOT on campus. It never occurred to us to take a firearm to campus and if we'd seen anyone else with one we'd have been seriously wondering WTF is going on. I had a .357 Magnum under the front seat of my car that nobody knew about because I didn't advertise the fact. Same with my friends. A lot of us were Vets so we enjoyed hunting, clay shooting, target shooting, etc. But again, there were no firearms on campus. It was a different world back then.

Maybe? You think I'm only here to talk about guns?

My complaint is more about the police or campus security doing their jobs.

So, because you could afford to live in an off-campus apartment, you can have a firearm for protection, but the kid who needs to stay on campus doesn’t? Weird stance.

It's a college rule that students don't have guns on campus. He didn't report a misdemeanor. These are rules that he broke.

The police didn't do what they should have done and now there are 3 dead students
