Nick Saban: 'Breaks My Heart' To See How Alabama Football Has 'Lost It' This Season

It's been an unusual season for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and head coach Nick Saban hears the outside noise getting louder.

“When former players come back to me, it hurts my heart,” Saban said when asked about the recent rumblings about the team’s standard.

“And I told the players this so I’m not speaking out of school, if anybody who’s ever played here in this culture and on this team would think anybody on this team is not playing to that culture and to that standard, that really breaks my heart because I’m responsible for that.

“And I want all the players to feel the responsibility that goes with that in terms of who we are at Alabama, how we play, what we do and how we do things. So, we’re working on it.”

He sure is saying all the right things, for a man who knows he won't be back.
 
"oh noes, we've only won 7 of the last 11 conference championships and have been in the playoffs 7 of 9 times since it's inception and only three championships. how will we ever please this starved fanbase"
 
He's just preparing for the final run to end with an Orange Bowl victory over Clemson or UNC when he will announce his retirement to the Miami and National Press stating: "I told you once, and I will tell you again, I will not be the Coach @ Alabama next year!", drop the Mic and walk off the stage into CFB History.
 
Does Saban take the administration route when he leaves?

Both losses were on the road too. At night in Baton Rouge and in Knoxville with the most energized Tennessee crowd since the 90’s
