Non-observance

The celebration of Columbus Day in the United States began to decline at the end of the 20th century, although many Italian-Americans and others continue to champion it.[35][36] The states of Florida,[37] Hawaii,[38][39] Alaska,[40][41] Vermont,[42] South Dakota,[43] New Mexico,[44] Maine,[45] Wisconsin,[46] and parts of California including, for example, Los Angeles County[47] do not recognize it and have each replaced it with celebrations of Indigenous People's Day (in Hawaii, "Discoverers' Day", in South Dakota, "Native American Day"[36]). A lack of recognition or a reduced level of observance for Columbus Day is not always due to concerns about honoring Native Americans. For example, a community of predominantly Scandinavian descent may observe Leif Erikson Day instead.[48] In the states of Oregon and Washington, Columbus Day is not an official holiday.[49][50]

Here, it is Columbus Day. Take yer faggy Indigenous shit to LA. Maybe you can get a transient to blow you for your wealth of retarded information.

You can't be messing around with COVID..... I chastized my own mother for doing the "unannounced" pop in visit with her brother who was visiting from CA. Showed right the fuck up at my office, to which I've been keeping the door locked. He landed on a Sunday, and they were at my office on Monday. And this was AFTER she had visited with my dumbass sister, whose kid was tested the day before and still waiting on the resuslts... I didn't answer the door, so she called...

"Why aren't you answering the door?"

-- Why the fuck are you at my door?

"Your uncle's in town and we thought it'd be nice to visit, and we were hoping to see your girls....."

-- You damn well know better.... bunch of expletives... etc etc etc

"Why are you talking to me like that"

-- Because I know you'll guilt trip me either way, and I'm just saving us the time. Either way - it's not the time for a visit. Sorry he's come all this way. We'll talk later.

:L

Leif Erikson Day is Oct. 9 every year, regardless of what day of the week it falls on.

Dang, fell asleep for over an hour, what'd I miss?
