I like the opt outs. I like being able to tell Baylor and Cincy fans that we beat y’all with our backups

Need a severe penalty clause in NIL contracts if they opt out.
Motions seconded.Extra exposure for their "talent".
If someone opts out, retroactively pull their scholarship.

And then the player plays in a meaningless bowl and suffers a devastating injury that ends his playing career. It costs him millions in potential earnings in pro ball.Okay folks, I have had this thought. Help me out here. I have seen this happen over the last few seasons. These players sit out of bowl games because it is not the CFP bowls or whatever.
Could part of the NIL deal be that you have to play in whatever bowl your team goes to to get your full NIL deal? So, awesome QB Joe Longbombs has an NIL deal with a clothing brand. The clothing brand says if you don't play in the bowl game for your team (that is 8-4) even if it is the Quicken Loans Bowl on December 27th, you only get 60% of your NIL deal. I am new and dumb to the "whole" NIL thing, so if this is a stupid question/scenario, sorry about that. But, could this be part of an NIL deal?
Y’all were near full strength. We had like 30 guys that either opted out or were suspendedAgainst our backups? Why is that a big deal?
If that is the way of thinking, all games prior were also meaningless & should have been sat out to avoid injury. Practices too.And then the player plays in a meaningless bowl and suffers a devastating injury that ends his playing career. It costs him millions in potential earnings in pro ball.
Couldn't that happen in any game? Look at Hooker, Tua, etc. Saban should have had Tua out with that much of a lead. Was it career ending? Nope. But that could happen in game one of the season. Career ending injuries aren't just set aside for bowl games. What if the player played in the CFP and got hurt on the first drive. Would he still lose millions? And then the player plays in a meaningless bowl and suffers a devastating injury that ends his playing career. It costs him millions in potential earnings in pro ball.

i was trying to avoid projections vs the ones announced and the ones that have accepted invites. otherwise we start arguing who would win games we may never seeProjection for Baylor is the Liberty Bowl vs. Arkie
Projection for SC is vs Illinois in the ReliaQuest Bowl. I guess that used to be the Outback Bowl, so some good memories there. Just hope Rattler doesn't forget how to play between now and then, cause dat Illini defense
My bad, pleaz deltetei was trying to avoid projections vs the ones announced and the ones that have accepted invites. otherwise we start arguing who would win games we may never see
It could, yes. But if I make it thru 4 years injury free, and have a bright future in the NFL, I'm sitting the bowl game out.Couldn't that happen in any game?
