Florida’s Jalen Kitna Busted For Child Porn

-Investigators later discovered three more images of child sexual abuse material on electronic devices that were seized from Kitna's home as part of their search, police said. Kitna was arrested on two counts of distribution of child exploitation material and three counts of possession of child pornography.

Those are pretty damning details for sure. However I think we need to know more. I am not attempting to defend his actions but there could be many details that shape this.

No. What exactly was it? Again, if the pictures were of a 17 year old I would feel very differently than if was someone younger. You can get labeled a sex offender for taking a leak in public, so I don’t get hung up on labels without facts.

FACT: police said they carried out a search warrant at Kitna's residence after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

FACT: Kitna allegedly admitted to investigators that he shared the images "that he found online"

FACT: arrested on two counts of distribution of child exploitation material

Yeah that doesn't sound like bf/gf sharing nudes and a misunderstanding with law enforcement but we'll keep an open mind in case "she was only 17"

I kinda thought that waiting until we know what happened before convicting a person was what we did around here, but I guess I was wrong about that.
 
What is it with the University of Florida and their athletes? Yikes. That whole state is messed up.

Highly doubtful that they make some big bust of a young man sharing photos of a 17 year old.

This is probably something a lot worse.

All I did was present the facts

"we" are not a judge, jury, or executioner so "we" will not be convicting anybody

Your facts were light on facts. They show the what, but not the why.

Would you agree that distributing nude pictures of a 17 year old runaway is fundamentally different than pictures of nude 8 year olds?

Both could be possible under the charges. While I would certainly agree that the former isn’t likely, I am not going to assume the latter until actual facts are divulged.

Nope, but I hate to see people get a label they didn’t earn. If he earned it, he should rot in jail forever.

I had a neighbor growing up that was accused of molesting his kid. Totally ruined the guy. Even ended up going to jail over it. Turns out, his ex-wife manufactured the whole fucking thing. When the truth came out, he was released from prison, but that sure as fuck didn’t give him his life back.

Let’s find out what he actually did.

If they're online sharing it that typically means they're looking to get some other images back in trade.

Obviously someone from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (maybe a volunteer?) was posing as someone willing to trade it.
That's how they nab these sickos.

"According to CBS 4, the Gainesville Police Department said that they were tipped by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Discord user had shared a photo of child sexual abuse. Further investigation revealed it was Kitna’s Discord account that shared the photo."

sure you do. we all know what a discord is. for instance, discord right here, next to me. it's pretty similar to datcord over there. you add up discords and datcords together, and ya end up with demcords.

It doesn't work for online but I'm pretty sure it works in the real world. For example, if you happen to find a bag of cocaine, its now yours and totally legal.
