I agree that it doesn't have to mean that, but I think it makes sense that if by expanding they were going to ruin the sport the payout wouldn't increase by 3 or 4-fold.More money doesn’t automatically equal a better product.
Look at OoC one-off neutral site games vs legitimate H&H‘s.
The neutral site one-offs always make more money than the H&H’s. But the games almost always have better energy, better vibe, and more entertaining when it’s at a team’s actual home stadium instead of an NFL stadium.
I've been to a lot of neutral site games, and I love the energy. Especially where the fans are evenly divided.
