GAME #4 USC vs #11 Utah (PAC Championship) 8pm (ET) FOX

Yeah, no...

Williams wasn't destroyed. The USC defense was destroyed.

I guess you don't consider walking off the field crying with a towel over his head "destroyed"

Utah definitely broke him and took the soul out of him...

Georgia would beat them by 40+ if USC would have faked their way into the CFG. Good thing it happened last night.

Given we were 9th going into the Civil War, had we won that game and seeing where teams around us moved in the rankings, Oregon likely jumps to 6th..If Oregon beats #4 USC in the PAC-12 championship, yes they would've put a 2 loss PAC Champion into the playoff.
So in all of CFP history the conference that has made it the least or about, the CFP is gonna take a 2 loss team from that conference. Okay.

A 2 loss PAC-12 Champion Oregon team with one of those loses coming basically AT #1 Georgia gets into the playoffs, especially if TCU loses today.

What's hilarious is that none of this happened.

Look at how this year played out. If TCU loses and with USC losing, there are two spots open. Do you give it to a 2 loss non-conference champ in Alabama? No. Do you give it to a 1 loss non conference champ in Ohio State who just got embarrassed by Michigan? Maybe they get one spot, but that 4th spot goes to Oregon with 2 losses.

Wait till Bo Nix announces he is returning next year.
He really doesn't have any choice. Going nowhere in the nfl draft, so he will stick around and play against the no defense Pac teams and pad his stats so it'll look good for the nfl. But those boys ain't that dumb. Nix might or might not get drafted even then.

I can't even believe this is in question.

If Oregon maintains 2 losses and beats #4 USC and TCU loses to Kansas State, Oregon is going.

Well shit, that wasn't much fun.

At least the Lakers won yesterday. lol

Considering they exceeded everyone's expectations for the season, I'm certainly not going to complain.

They need to use recruiting and the portal to get some size and depth on defense. The number of turnovers and sacks they had shows that they're doing something right.

But when the guy who is arguably your best linebacker weighs 200 lbs., you're going to struggle against physical teams that like to run between the tackles and have huge tight ends.

Congrats to the Utes.

You post this like it's a shot at Oregon and Nix, that he isn't an NFL QB. Bud, I don't care if the Oregon QB goes on to win 8 Super Bowls or doesn't get drafted. If he wins at Oregon that is all that matters. Nix returning to Oregon next year is going to be electric. Instant top 5 team.

They would not take a two loss any Pac 12 team over a one loss Alabama.

If only the heroic almost Heisman Nix would have had one more play on his hobbled legs!!!

There are 10 other teams that can ask what if. What if the ball doesn't bounce off a players helmet vs ASU and UW ends up 11-1? Only, that's not what happened. No reason to dwell on what ifs.

What we know is Oregon ended 9-3. They had a decent offense and a not so good defense, like 4 other teams in the Pac. None of the rest of those 4 would fare well in a playoff game either. That's the reality of this conference right now.

It isn't always about logic. These are people deciding. A one loss TCU team and a 2 loss Oregon team. These people will remember 49-3.

So Nix is going to shift to defense? Because it doesn't matter who is throwing the rock if you can't stop the other team. That D isn't even close to competent.

49-3 was already forgotten right before the Washington game. Oregon controlled their own destiny with 1 loss. In the end, they were not going to punish Oregon for scheduling a top team in non-coference.

Forgotten? What media you watching? They didn't just schedule a top team non conference. They got their asses handed to them. All media I saw kept bringing it up. You watched every single game and was on here like most of us were. All we heard was how Oregon was gonna destroy Georgia, beat the piss out of every team they faced, how much fun they were having, how Nix was a no doubt Heisman winner. And three losses later...

Nix was having fun. So much fun he is returning next season to do it again and get to the playoffs.

The best part about yelling about what ifs is they are just that....shit that is not and will not happen

You ended up 2-3 vs ranked teams on the year. That's reality
